I once heard someone say that it's not until you hear Dimash sing a song that practically anyone can sing that you can really compare him with other singers and appreciate how good he is with all that he does. It's easy to get carried away with his high range and power but when you immerse yourself in his pop music and ballads you notice his subtle nuances more, his brilliant use of vocal dynamics and the little twists he puts in that no one else would think of. His new blues number could probably be sung by a few other artists but no one could sing it the same way that Dimash does with that same attitude and fire.
@TheWordSmith365
@TheWordSmith365 9 месяцев назад
What a insightful perspective! Dimash truly stands out not only for his extraordinary vocal range and power but also for the nuanced artistry he brings to each song. When he takes on a piece that many could sing, it becomes a showcase of his unparalleled skill and creativity. Immersing oneself in his pop and ballad repertoire reveals the subtleties, vocal dynamics, and unique twists that make his interpretations so exceptional. And you're spot on about his new blues number-it's a testament to his ability to infuse a song with his own attitude and fire, making it a one-of-a-kind experience. His artistry goes beyond technical prowess, capturing the essence of each piece in a way that's truly incomparable. 🎤🔥

There are at least three official versions of this, maybe four,. And if you think of all his concerts at which this song is last on the menu (each one different of course) then more experiences to be had from this song alone. I was at his live concert in Kuala Lumpur in June and yes, "Screaming" was the final performance at which the audience played a huge part, including Dimash out in the audience and offering the mic to individuals to sing the refrain ('I'm Screaming insiaaaade". A wonderful and unforgettable experience.The only thing better than being at a Live Dimash event, is to go to another one!! Great reaction and analysis as usual.

It sounds like an incredible and unforgettable moment, especially with "Screaming" as the final performance. The level of audience engagement, with Dimash interacting and sharing the mic, must have created a unique and special atmosphere. It's remarkable how Dimash tailors each performance, making every rendition of "Screaming" distinct and offering fans multiple versions to enjoy. Just another ability that I so deeply admire about Dimash, how many singers of significant vocal ability can cross over into multiple other genres and styles? When I listen to Dimash in his various singing genres, I appreciate them in that vein. As a figure skater, there are skaters who participate in multi disciplines and there are skaters who participate in only one; just like some singers stick to just pop. When a figure skater who started out as a solo freestyle athlete, but then additionally "crosses" over to ice dancing, I enjoy each discipline for what it is rather than comparing one to the other. Likewise, I enjoy Dimash singing pop, rap, rock, lyrical ballads, opera, jazz, folk or any mix there of..

If you watch Live version of Screaming, you'll get a nice surprise. Technically if you see Erlan or Yerlan Bekchurin's name associated on a Dimash video he is Dimash's personal friend and sound producer. He pretty much arranges all of Dimash's concerts and performances, I even saw his name on the Singer show credits. And this was his first English pop song, but not his first pop song. That would be My Beauty, and there is a Music Video. He was 19. I keep hearing rumors of an all English album coming and I can't wait. He sang 2 new songs at his Hong Kong concert and they were fantastic.

Erlan Bekchurin's role as Dimash's personal friend and sound producer, overseeing arrangements for concerts and performances, sheds light on the collaborative effort that goes into creating such memorable musical experiences. It's also exciting to hear about Dimash's journey with English pop songs, from "My Beauty" to the recent performance of new songs at the Hong Kong concert. @@TheWordSmith365 The MV of 'Be With Me' demonstrates his potential for the film industry (he could do a cameo in a Bond movie quite easily if he was ever involved in one - although it's 'Battle of Memories' that's the nearest to an actual Bond theme tune) with a rather cheeky and debonair side to him. In this song he has another vocal genre added to his collection, albeit that section is in Kazakh, whereas the bulk of the poppy song is in English. Carl! As always, I’m very grateful for your honest reaction. Even when I’m busy I make time to stop by your videos so that I can learn something new and exciting. You really are one of the best reactors out there! Of course, all of us love Dimash’s soprano range and all his vocal acrobatics, but personally I also love when he pulls back and just sings in a “standard” or “ordinary” way. I agree of course that Screaming is not Dimash’s best song. However, I hope you’ll be interested in hearing more of his absolutely beautiful Kazakh songs, such as Daididau from Bastau 2017, Samaltau from the Tokyo Jazz Festival, Amanat, and Qairan Elim, just to name some of my favorites. A few of these songs are deeply rooted in Kazakhstan’s difficult history under the oppression of Imperial Russia and the Soviet Union for over 200 years. Maybe they won’t be your favorite songs, but they are very much worth listening to so that you can get a better idea of who Dimash is as a singer and a human being. By the way, I made a comment under your Ave Maria reaction, related to the Story of One Sky. I’m not quite sure if you’ve seen it, but I hope it was informative and helpful for you. As always, all the best to you Carl, and happy new year!

Great reaction Carl! Always happy to see you post new videos. As you pointed out, Dimash's English is far from perfect here. But I think it's worth mentioning that back then, he barely spoke English. He really only knew 2 phrases: "Hi, I'm Dimash" and "Thank you very much." And then a couple more words to get by with, but that was pretty much it. So I think it's pretty impressive even if it wasn't the best. Now his English is better and he is able to give interviews entirely in English a lot of times! I'm glad you acknowledged his progress, because he has worked really hard. Thanks again! Hope to see more soon ❤

Dimash's exploration of various genres indeed adds an exciting dimension to his musical repertoire. Venturing into pop and possibly interpreting a classic from Meat Loaf could be a captivating experience. Meat Loaf's songs often have powerful narratives and demanding vocal performances, which would provide an interesting challenge for Dimash. If Dimash were to tackle a Meat Loaf classic, it would be intriguing to see how he infuses his unique style and vocal range into the song. His ability to convey emotion and storytelling through his voice could bring a fresh perspective to such iconic pieces. The diversity in Dimash's musical choices continues to keep fans excited about what he might surprise them with next. Absolutely, you bring up a great point! Dimash's ability to perform live and consistently deliver exceptional and varied renditions is a testament to his remarkable vocal skill and artistic flexibility. If all music videos are auto-tuned, wouldn't that imply that all studio recordings are auto-tuned? After all, what you use in an MV is a prior studio recording, which you lip-sync in the video shoot. As we all know that Dimash does not need pitch-correction, I wonder why he would allow that in his own production. If he makes a mistake, he could just re-record a phrase. I understand that Dimash protects his voice by lip-syncing rather often (and I keep getting bashed if I point it out in comments), so I have no real problem with that, except for the false advertising of such performances as live, but if he uses auto-tune in his own productions, I find myself somewhat disappointed...
@EllaSilentDragon
@EllaSilentDragon 9 месяцев назад
@@mmsminimalmusic3110You can use autotune to pitch correct - which Dimash doesn’t need - but many others do need - and almost all pop singers use it to speed up the recordings. (As far as I have read from professional sound engineers) The other use case of autotune is distortion for interesting effects. And he experimented with it when he was younger for a few notes here and there. But that was really an exception. Then there are some studio people that think listeners want the normal pop sound and add autotune for no reason. (Fun fact: The same thing happened with American chocolate, that tastes to the rest of the world disgusting, because they put the same stuff in, that is normally found in vomit - but the public got used to it - so they continued the taste after they had the choice to change the process that prolongs the expiration date.) Please don’t start the lip-synch discussion. You have started fights often enough, that you know the arguments. 😜 I think you’re wrong. And there are a people that think you are right and others that think like me. The important thing is: Most of us love him. ❤ Although I’m not sure with you.. We all know that you prefer Diana Ankudinova. 🤔

@@EllaSilentDragon I really wonder where the Diana myth comes from. I have no interest in her, and I am annoyed that the YT algorithm keeps showing me her vids even though I search for Dimash. I guess the concept of a Dimash fan who has not given up his critical faculties in favor of total adoration is alien to Deardom. 🤗
@EllaSilentDragon
@EllaSilentDragon 9 месяцев назад
@@mmsminimalmusic3110 Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against critique, where it might be helpful. It comes from love. ❤️ Eg when someone is about to make a mistake and I can prevent it. Or if I see a better alternative. Or to defend someone, who has been criticized themselves. I‘m also not above a bit of shouting, when provoked. (As much as it pains me to know this about myself…😅) But online - when I don’t like something - I try not to mention it. Why provoke others who want to enjoy it? (Sadly I’m not always successful 🫣) But I will still defend others, when someone tries to insult them… I just noticed that you tent to concentrate on the negative, when commenting (but you sometimes also mention the things you like 😊) But the ratio is very skewed to the negative. And I don’t understand why, when you like Dimash and can’t change anything about the thing that irks you. And oftentimes you can’t prove it either. (And we can’t prove it as well - so the arguments start. 😅) I‘m glad you cleared it up, that you like him. ❤️ And sorry about the Diana comment. I somehow remember her being mentioned. 😅

Dimash uses phonetics to learn songs(not languages) until he has more use for a language, where he then starts to learn it. Qazak, Kazakh, Russian as a second language, Chinese Mandarin, and now English, language phonetics are all different, with alphabetic letters having different sounds and vowel and consonant structures, and so trying to concentrate on the idiosynchracies of all these very differently structured languages and their national slang versions must be very difficult, even for someone with a very advanced brain like Dimash. Most Dears actually like his idiosynchracies, and tend to miss them as he overcomes them. All this to say...please go easy on him....his plusses are so much more than his minuses....as he grows and learns, he changes to become more internationally acceptable....on purpose. But his art structure is always his. Dimash is perfectly Dimash, and we don't want to change him into someone elses's version of who he could be. We are completely happy with him being who he wants to be, and how he wants to be. We have never seen such a person with so much love, consideration, focus and drive produce a public atmosphere of positivety and beauty ever before....at least, not since Jesus was physically down here.

Thank you for providing such a thoughtful and insightful perspective on Dimash's language learning journey and the nuances of his performances. It's truly fascinating to understand the complexities he navigates with different languages and the phonetic challenges he faces. Your emphasis on appreciating Dimash for who he is, including the idiosyncrasies that make him unique, is a beautiful sentiment. It's evident that his artistry is deeply personal and reflective of his identity, and the journey he takes to overcome challenges adds an authentic and relatable dimension to his performances. The love and positivity that Dimash generates among his fans, the Dears, are indeed remarkable and contribute to creating a special and supportive community. On a Russian channel specializing in Dimash there are comments about the construction of this song: With Dimash's success on the Chinese program, "I'm a Singer", some producers convinced Dimash to release a song for the American market, along the lines of American standards. of pop music (hence autotune). Diamash did not speak English by singing phonetically and without perfect pronunciation. He also did not participate in the composition of the song. The song was not highlighted as intended! After founding his own production company, Dimash began to control the entire composition and arrangement process (with the Kazakh arranger and his best friend, Erlan Beckchurin), except when he counts on the partnership and compositions of Maetro Igor Krutoy, or the Kazakh pianist, Renat Gaissin, among others. In his shows, Dimash transformed this song into moments of interaction with the public and even made a version where he incorporated an excerpt from RAP, in the Kazakh language.

Screaming wasn't his first song in English he did Queen's show must go on, lionel ritchie's hello, Lara Fabian's Adagio and i can't remember if this was also on China's Singer competition but he also did Dion's My heart will go on.

Certainly! Dimash often delivers unforgettable performances in his live shows, so finding a live version of "Screaming" would be a real treat. I'll definitely look into it and see if there's a live rendition available. Thanks for the suggestion! If there's anything else you'd like to explore or discuss about Dimash's music, feel free to let me know!

I understand that Dimash played piano and drums plus backing vocals on this video. I'd like to recommend another fantastic young singer from the UK called Lucy Thomas. She has about 50 videos on utube and has just released her 5th album. Lucy 19 has also sung some amazing duets with her 14 year old sister Martha. Many reactors seem to believe that she is one of the best singers in the world today. I'd be very interested in your opinion?

That's impressive to hear about Dimash's multi-instrumental talents and contributions to the video! As for Lucy Thomas, thank you for the recommendation! It's always exciting to discover new and talented artists. I'll make sure to check out Lucy's videos and explore her musical journey. Your enthusiasm for her suggests something special, and I'm looking forward to listening to her performances. If there's anything specific you'd like me to focus on or if you have particular songs in mind, feel free to let me know! 🎶✨

Like Dimash, all of Lucy's videos are truly wonderful. Her latest duet with Martha released for Xmas is "Mary Did You Know?" Also her solo cover of the Barbara Streisand song "Evergreen" both of these videos should show you why she now has fans all over the world. 😀👍

Thanks for sharing - I just checked her out - she’s pretty good for a start. I do like the timbre of her voice and her natural vibrato. Very easy in the ear! I’ll spend more time listen to her music to get a better idea of what she can do! Thanks again!

The first english song Dimash sang was on the singer 2017 The Show must go on episode 3, then on episode 5 he sang Funk you up and Adagio episode 6. Screaming was not his first english song.

While he performed English songs such as "The Show Must Go On" and "Funk You Up" on the Singer 2017, "Screaming" marked his official debut with an English-language studio release. It's always helpful to ensure accurate information is shared.

Dimash’s best song in English is Across Endless Dimensions, in terms of pronunciation. Dimash still has trouble speaking clearly in English, especially singing in English. He has trouble with tongue placement in this language. It’s against his palate too often and at the wrong time, for the wrong words. He needs a really good tutor. As a pop song, Screaming is his best, hands down.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on Dimash's English performances. "Across Endless Dimensions" indeed showcases his effort to navigate the English language, and the complexity of pronunciation can be a challenge. Your observation about tongue placement is insightful. "Screaming" stands out as a powerful pop song, and it's fascinating to see how Dimash's vocal abilities shine in different genres. It's always interesting to hear diverse opinions on his repertoire. If you have more insights or specific songs you'd like to discuss, feel free to share! 🎶🌟
