Yes yes yes! I don't like having shit under my fingernails but it's a moment where you feel accomplished. Doing tasks and be ready to get dirty while learning a craft! We are more connected because of tech but we lost hospitality and compassion! Love the channel my man!

A younger man brought in this scraggily old man to the ED who lived in the woods in northern Minnesota and hadn't seen a doctor in 40 years. The old man was thin and sinewy, but on his last legs. I started talking with the old man's friend and he noticed a copy of the "Fur-Fish-Game," magazine I had by me. People in trade jobs should be safe for a generation or two because robot tech is not enough to go down narrow steps to a dingy basement to fix a leak in a pipe or a short in an electrical circuit. The people who have to worry are media consultants, politicians, pundits and actors.

Was in Court a few weeks ago - waiting.. some will know.. went out for a cigarette - sat & smoked, noticed the city pavement had ants. I'm usually scruffy & dirty - I was tidy for court. So I watched the ants as I sat & smoked. There weren't loads, maybe 5 or 6 "out working" looking for food, presumably. Paving was block - so there were gaps between every brick - every ant followed the cracks like they were roads - running around the gaps like all the others, I could see they were finding nothing. Up on top of the blocks, there were bits of food - but the ants were all running around the "map" of the cracks & were finding nothing. Around & around they all ran, following each other along the "map" - none dared pop up & look on top of the blocks. I finished my cigarette & thought about how we humans are a lot like ants.

Such a great video, Josh! Also, such great timing! I helped build a deck this weekend with a metal roof up at my camp. I swung hammers, dug holes and got real dirty! A huge variation from my day job. Loved every moment !!
