The Dudley canal a industrial area once thriving with steel works - round oak and much more and the once loved merry hill farm that sat right on the edge of the steel works itself . the canal has many things to see from old bridges and nice scenery heading to the n2 section . join me on the black country walk across one of the areas we'll known canals .

Hi Drew I think the rain gave your story an atmosphere…..the times I called into Round oak steel works…. Selling safety equipment in the early 70’s🙄 Didn’t know about the bouncin bomb either 😎👌🏽

Great videos I used to live in Tipton and worked at the Waterfront 30+ years ago I think they can’t build on the large land you mentioned as the mines under ground
@MidlandsOutdoors
@MidlandsOutdoors 8 месяцев назад
Thanks bud I'm guessing so tbh I should have got the old os maps up to check mines I know sometimes if the land is so polluted from old industrial sites they don't build on them for many years . If you go down a certain road up brierley hill you can get to back of there you can see the old lights bit closer up

I would have loved to have seen it before the shopping center in my opinion the old land would be better than what it is now lost a bit of a landscape . Can imagine merryhill farm had a lot of history behind it
