Due Process is a tactical first person shooter inspired by SWAT team tactics. We got a chance to play and early alpha build with the Dev's in Seattle and it's an absolute blast!

I'd have never thought to use procedural generation for a tactical 4v4 multiplayer shooter. That's brilliant, it forces players to come up with strategies at the start of every game instead of like in Counter-Strike where there are basically just set strategies for every map that people cycle through. This game looks fucking awesome.

For a game that emphasize tactical gameplay, there's nothing really 'tactical' about this game, the only part that is 'tactical' is the initial planning of a round. "U breach here" "Blow this wall" Once you're in it's just another stupid shooter.. so much for tactics. Screw Rainbow Six, SWAT 4 is where it's at. Now that is one fine example. From what I can see now, this is just some crappy game specifically made in blocky visuals just to attract certain usual fans of this visual style.. and probably make a quick buck if not fame. Unless they add more 'tactical' content and 'tactical' gameplay to this, it's going nowhere.

Miya Kimi Does Pre-Alpha not a ring a bell? This is one of test build they've made and so far its really well made. Of course they are gonna add more stuff and the devs have mentioned defenders being to place traps and more weapons and etc. If you are gonna be a bitch and hate at least have the decency to look some shit up before doing so.

Miya Kimi The planning is always the only tactical part. once bullets start flying, all bets are off. Swat 4 is immensely slower than this with a much much larger map area. if you are refering to them not hugging walls in pairs and rounding corners checking different angles, well that's not the games fault; aside from being too small and fast paced. But this isn't the final release either so I'd expect larger, more diverse maps. hopefully interior doors that have to be breached so the suspects can defend in a stage like strategy

I had the opportunity to play an up to date version of this at PAX Prime. Needless to say, I stayed at their booth for a good two hours. Due Process was definitely my favorite game at PAX, and I'm looking forward to when it's released. :D

John Madden For example a new-ish free 2 play called Unturned has blocky graphics. If the game had like Crysis-like graphics it would have less players since not everyones computer can handle crysis graphics.

Hey, if you're liking for a game for LAN Party, I recommend Sub Rosa by cryptic sea. It's like a blocky Mafia game where you can trade money for your objective disk that's held by another team or you can shoot them for it or you can trick them with empty briefcases

@@lsdengo1589 also keep in mind that their dev team is super small. At the beginning of the game, this pre alpha footage there were only 3-5 devs. Not to mention that game development is HARD.

I like how they upload a video with an older version of the game. In the newer versions have things like better looking tables and cabinets, you can move tables and cabinets, walls that aren't bordering the outside world can have holes through them, and guns have better models.

a good plan is to put a wall charge on a wall that is oposite from a door and set it of so they think your entering the wall but bust the door to attack them from behind

I love the look of this game, the only problem I have with it is it seems to be a little too difficult for the defending team if the attacking team manage to cut the power. Whilst it should be darker it shouldn't be pitch black, there should be some faint outlines.
