That's the cool thing about Vrains, for the most part most of the cards used in the major decks are things you'd see in an actual deck. Ghost Girl's Altergeists are pretty much a standard competitive ready deck for the era. And Salamangreats were every bit as nuts in the anime as they were with their structure deck support.

Just throwing it out there that Coder actually threw his board away for content. He could've just accesscode talker'd that turn and wipe backrow

Would love to see a tournament style video (long video) where you take people who are best with the anime style decks and see which protagonist is the best in a tournament setting: Rhymestyle - Dark Magician (DM) Sam - Heroes (GX) ? - Synchron (5d's) ? - Gagaga / Utopia (Zexal) Trif - Performapals / Pendulums (Arc V?) Distant Coder - Code Talkers (Vrains) That would be such a sick video / serious, would be so cool to see and let people use all the legacy support available and have the people not playing commentate the duel.

I'm glad I watched this video. I built a Code Talker deck, and was having trouble with combos.

No cap I think you can pull off a win with Fushio Richie 💯 your understanding of the game and making good combos in this era of meta is maaaad respect

Yugi uses 2 cards as ace which are Gandora and Exodia respectively whereas Dark Magician is used by Yami Yugi... and Yugi's aces would have turned the tide pretty easily but that was some good duel especially the final banish one.

If only Dark Magician had better link monsters...but dang! This duel was intense and really fun to watch. Coder seems like a cool bloke and the deck he built worked very well just like in the anime.

Link summon with materials from you hand is absolutely shenanigans. But what do I know? I'm just a hypocritical D/D/D player who fuses with material from the hand, and wishes that Gilgamesh could be link summon using a D/D monster from the hand.

I started playing YuGiOh when vrains came out needless to say code talkers were my first deck. @24:16 Distant couldve bounced Micro Coder from his GY, summon a code talker, search Cynet Optimization and swing for game lmao

That last match went back and fourth so many times before anything actually happened but it ended in a OTK lol

In duel monsters, set 1 pass was cause for concern, and they’d spend the episode talking about what it could be, and how they were going to play around it. In Vrains, the episode was half of a duel where players combo off for their turn, and explain their combos. Yet, in spite of this, I still don’t understand Gouki.

Played a cyberse deck in the limit 1 tourney in MD so I know those cards are crazy however if Yami were to ever face Yusuku I'm sure he would have pulled a dark magician link out of nowhere and won

Vrains is how I got back into Yugioh

I JUST started going to locals, and the first deck I decided to use is a code talker deck.

I'm literally just missing that counter trap to make that deck.

I have one question and this related to the latest ban list of master duel. Cross-Out Designator is now limited to one. And I also am a code talker user whose deck has three copies of that card. And we code talker users utilize that card to stop hand trap that could ruin one of the archetype most powerful use tactic which is the Extra Link. Cross out Designator helps us to stop hand trap like ash blossom and Nibiru the two that can ruin and slow down that tactic. And since it's limited to one now. That kinda a bit of a low blow to us. But there is an alternative which is called "Prohibition" My question for those who have use it. Is it a useful substitute to beat/stop cards like ash blossom or Nibiru

I honestly don't think another protagonist ever used any monster as strong as firewall dragon or accesscode talker.

Fun fact: In Vrains aside from the latest cyberse and rokket cards all cards that were printed does almost exactly the same thing they do in the anime as they do in real life

Fun fact, in VRAINS, in the duel where Playmaker uses Cynet Codec he summons 20 times in one turn, which I think has to be the highest number of summons any anime character has done in one turn (outside of maybe some infinite loop). Can’t think of any other turns in the anime on that level.

That fight in the video was lit and i liked the 7 slot controll from coder the most,it was complicated setup but with linking up looked decently consistent :) And consistent decks in yugi are speeding their wins left and right to top tier all the way

Vrains is my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh series the only things I hate is Its to short . There is a pattern that they follow when they created the New generation series Yuma resemble Yugi weak from the start and they both had partners and ancient artifact that gives them power.Yuya goes to a school and becomes the villain of their shows I definitely saw that coming and what will happen when you adapt Yusei who is cool in his series you will get Yusaku the undefeated cool duelist buts it's kinda weird calling him Yusaku since I mostly remember him as Playmaker so it safe to say that even if they haters of the show keep telling that Yusaku lost of cam but Playmaker did not lose even once.To be honest I'm expecting much from Yusaku since he's base on Yusei my favorite mc of Yu-Gi-Oh and he doesn't disappoint he live up to the expectation best episode 1and 2 that's got me hook from the start it's also the reason I started playing Yu-Gi-Oh again and I still can't forget how he make his first opponent of the series mis play and how he reversal ftk his rival using Firewall dragon.trivia first mc ace card that got ban and got erata.

9:36 What Coder said here is true but gy effects upon Accesscodes destruction do go through. The only reason why Magician's Combination didn't work here is because it needed to be face-up. The reason I know gy effects still go through is because I play shaddolls and their effects can go through because technically they are now part of a new chain.
