Allow me to say (stereotypically) as a horn player (among others) that this was simply amazing! Love being able to single out the horn part and get the full effect.
What amazing control to be able to play so well without a single hiccup with such a difficult piece. Truly impressive. Really admirable to see horn players this phenomenal, inspires me to do even better with my own horn playing.
@@daanbusch6255 That's not necessarily indicating that they're amateurs, it just means they were given it to eliminate the chance of mistake. No matter how good a group is, they can slip up, I myself have seen professional choirs that give starting notes and amateur choirs that do not, yet both sound good. It does not reflect their ability by any means.
@@kori_seawolf sorry brother but it is. At higher level it is required that you are able to remember the starting notes. It's a really small thing but quite important. Sorry bro I wouldn't argue if I didn't have some expertise in this field.
@@daanbusch6255 Just because they can use it doesn't mean they need to however, it could just be a means to make it easier on them, which doesn't necessarily have to do with their skill, it's a tool, just as a calculator is to a mathematician. My point is that you can't tell just from that simple factor, any group can have starting notes given, but not every group *needs* them.
Duel of the Fates remains one of my favourite soundtracks of all time -- and everyone here did splendidly! I could never play a trumpet/horn or any similar instrument, I would simply suffocate. Kudos!
Wonderful. I get to attempt to play 1st Horn on this in our current concert. Full Star Wars Epic Suite. Part of our Night at the Movies concert. Can't wait.
I’ve once played a game of laser tag while the place we were playing it at was playing this over the speakers, let’s just say I was the best player and it wasn’t even close
I didnt hear it at all... doesnt matter anyways because embouchure is muscle memory. Ive not touched a saxophone (i know different instrument but it still fits) in two years and i guarantee you i can still play with the same tone as before
@@uroboric Even Mozart had his predecessors in composition and influences, plus he also had experience from playing the clavier since childhood and some training/education.
yeah, but just imagine how much more difficult this piece would be if it was up to tempo. it's already such a difficult piece to begin with, and at the correct tempo, it'd be dang near impossible.
@@patrickroyster2569 ok if its that easy you do it. Play duel of the fates on a french horn at original tempo for us right now. You must be an expert at this if your criticism means anything
How do you get to hell? Very simple: claim that you're innocent. How do you get to heaven? Very simple: Admit that you're not Innocent, you're guilty and ask for mercy. How to know if you're guilty or not? Simply: Compare your life to the Ten Commandments God gave you in the Bible. Everyone agrees that if people followed the ten commandments there would be no need for governments or police. Do not lie. Do not steal. Do not commit adultery. Do not insult God by using his name as a cuss word. There are six more but let's just leave it at that. How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever taken anything that didn't belong to you? Jesus said, if you look at a women lustfully you've already committed adultery in your heart with that woman. How many times a day do you do that? Do you use God's name as a cuss word? Would you do that with your own mother's name? If you answer these questions honestly you know that you're guilty. God can justly punish you and send you to hell. Ask him for mercy. His name is Jesus. It's as simple as this, The Ten Commandments are called the moral law. You and I broke God's laws. Jesus paid the fine. The fine is death. Ezekiel 18:20 - "The soul who sins shall die. That's why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins. This is why God is able to give us Mercy. Option A. You die for your own sins. Option B. Ask for mercy and accept that Jesus died on the cross for you.❤❤❤
