Eva does such an amazing job of selling her character. Jasper is my favorite of the regulars, but Eva is one of my favorite special guests.

They both are, and I love that the two most human characters are the least human-looking

@@Farrindorshe radiates that type of quiet power. Getting her to play Prince Panhard in NYbN was genius.

My 2 favorite guests are Eva and Chaz.

Some people literally don't react very expressively to pain. I had a lung collapse (lung pops a hole, leaks air into your chest until it can't inflate anymore and you suffocate to death on the air in your chest) when I was seventeen. The flat tone I explained the extraordinary pain I was in convinced the school nurse that I just had heartburn for the first time or was trying (badly) to get out of finals.

I also think shock isn't necessarily something Vampires experience. They don't work off of adrenaline

​@@rationalroundhead6739 Ipsissmus is anarch, Carna is technically still in the Cam. The houses are more about the relation to the pyramid than the sect relationships and also who they embrace. Basically this: 1 House Tremere - Pyramid loyalists, Cam allegiance, embraces more academic types 2 House Goratrix - Broke Rank, joined the sabbat, are the Tremere antitribu clan, embrace more devious types/criminals 3 House Carna - New, Not loyal to the pyramid, Some are Cam and others Find the freedom of the Anarchs, embrace people who genuinely love magic 4 House Ipsissmus - New, Mysterious, Not loyal to Cam, Fully Anarch, Based on Secret Society made by Aleister Crowley teachings, they would prob embrace people who are into Crowley style magic so chaos magic people or real magic users like mages and sorcerers (this is all speculation since they are so mysterious) I think the houses MIGHT be expanded in the Cults of the Blood Gods expansion book that's on Kickstarter currently but so much about the Ipsissmus is just up in the air rn.

@@rouxzes there's some debate as to whether or not Goratrix was taken over by Tremere himself after he lost his battle with Saulot's soul. There aren't really many Sabbat Tremere left as Goratrix(or Tremere wearing his skin) burned all of the members in Mexico city, its unclear how many other tremere are in the Sabbat outside of the Mexico city Chantry though

I dunno but I like it either way, it's a nice break from how hectic Critical Role can get XDX

With the show relying more and more on guest appearances it's starting to really feel like a audio drama.

There was still radio drama in the 80s? I thought that went out of vogue way before the 80s. I love the scenes at the end, very soap opera feel, but I still love them. i also love how much they put into looking the part of their character, especially Jasper and Eva. Also the story teller/narrator/GM (not sure what his official title is) is a really amazing actor as well, for example when he plays X there were a couple of times I had to check to see if the character was guest appearing because I thought it was really X speaking, he is very good at a lot of things, but matching the cadence of the voice along with the unusual free thoughts slipped in is really spot on, in my opinion.

@Paul Gauthier Truth be told dude I stopped watching when it was the whole revolving door cast and they were trying to have bad romances. Though the first ones were really good.

@Paul Gauthier a good storyteller or dungeon master controls the story and it feels prescripted to an outside observer. The guest cast prolly has a little bit of a suggested script (do this if someone asks about that, ect) but that's cause they are npc that the storyteller uses to control and push the story.

Also Kyoko. Pretty sure he said twice now that he liked her.

I think that for him there is a difference between like and Like. He Likes Anabelle in a different way that he Likes Eva and the way he likes X and Kyoko, seems like another way of liking. It is kinda strange, but it seems to make sense for the character.

That's what you get with a troupe that is more interested in telling an exciting story than the usual powergaming. Not easy to find that kind of players in a "normal" setting.

He uses his willpower quite often. Yes he rolls high, but he rolls on his large pools and using willpower, so not abnormal.

@@ankatheturret Don't forget the beast took him in series one. ALL characters will have bad times so that's why they need to destroy any problems in the coterie and work together. WoD is created/set up to involve tension e.g. clan versus domain; personal secret versus coterie; the coterie needs to find ways of sharing and accepting their secrets and even dealing with the secrets of others as Jasper may soon discover in his own case. Potential allies will be compromised and they need to find ways to avoid this. In a sense they need a "constitution" or core values they ALL adhere to. Ventrue are not to be tempted in betraying any of their coterie by offering them a city. e.g Suppose the "baron" of the Valley was offered LA for getting rid of his coterie? Or offered a boon in his clan for distancing himself from Jasper or someone else ? They need to be clear their first loyalty is to preserving their unity and to work on declaring all possible threats to that. Nelli was forced into admitting something that could have her killed in vampire society. None of the others seem to have such a sentence hanging over them but they still hold their cards to their face. Jasper needs to look after his personal relationship issues for example and to bring in somer arcane assistance on the Labyrinth and accelerate the discovery of the ley line type power in it as well as the arcane architect. He needs Eva to look at the suspended body and needs a map and explanation of the mirrors and to crack the code on the stones.

The implication within this setting often implies that yes, the wood has pierced the heart specifically, though that is not what happened during the encounter.

cause she wasnt staked trough the heart she just got impaled on a wooden beam thats why she cried she was conscious the whole time

I *think* Nelli's player may have assumed that's what was going on, or as I considered earlier, she was conserving her energy until she was rescued. I kinda dig the second, as that suggests she's a hell of a lot tougher than expected, despite the cries of pain.

I don't think that particular cliffhanger will result in a new vamp being created. I'm sensing more of a potential hostage or token for leverage. The person laying out the trap is ruthless to a fault.

Yeah, this playthrough convinced me to get V5 too. Absolutely loving this, & I think I will have to start checking out all the other tabletop games on G+S too.

House Carna are the relaxed/chill tremere house. Her behaviour makes total sense knowing what house she is from.

Annabelle is calm, yet she has the very Bujah passion. And yes, I don't think Miranda will like the "peaceful" negociation with the Camarilla.

Frenzy checks aren't a requirement , it's at the storytellers discretion.

@@dcrose001 also, Erika is already doing a reasonable job organically introducing a fair amount of anti-authoritarian outbursts and the others are giving her a fair amount of room to not be controlled, so the rebellious anarch spirit of her beast having outlets and not being too contained may be helping keep it calmer...at a cost. I don't think we've seen hunger 4/5 Annabelle yet, nor a bestial failure/crit for her yet, so time will tell how long it lasts.
