I believe they werent allowed to promote the japanese cards since they were theoretically OCG and we only get to play the TCG or something like that, im not to sure however, but thats what i have heard

@janniside5128 it's American laws that prevent marketing toys to kids in TV shows. So they had to edit the text off the cards in order for them to be shown in the cartoon. Theatrical releases don't have the same laws as a TV series, so they were allowed freedom to use the original art/words on the cards in the Movies.

Yo Sam, Kaiba never had or played mirror force, he used the Fang of Critias and fused using Yugi’s Mirror Force in the tag team duel against Dartz to make Mirror Force Dragon.

He most likely had it in the GBA games, where everyone had cookie cuter cards/decks. Even Rex Raptor used Summoned Skull and Dark Hole. Fun times...but he did overcome Skull with Crush Card. It was one of the first dead cards Yugi drew once infected by the Corona Card Virus.

You can set monsters with Final Attack Orders, actually it's somewhat brilliant setting something as powerful as Goblin Attack Force or Slate Warrior, since the opponent may have thought it a weak monster, or vice versa. Final Attack Orders was definitely a fun card...

@@Goblin_Hands the thing is Goat format isn't that type of "fun" yu-gi-oh we see in this, the type of yu-gi-oh people consider to be fun 80% of the time is: inconsistent and kinda bad designed Decks where those huge and intense swings can happen etc., THere are a lot of unfun and broken decks in Goat sure there might not be something like 10 negates on the board but: you have no hand and aren't allowed to draw cards, is just equaly unfun ^^

@@anblueboot5364 I ran a control deck back in the day, so my deck was full of counters, the thing about the older cards which are now typically banned in most formats (like change of heart) is they could be ran in almost any deck, modern cards actually have more overpowered abilities but they are very niche, in other words they only work in a strictly themed deck.

Duel Monsters Yugi played Light Force Sword *as a trap card* directly from his hand without setting it first (which is just one of multiple rule breaking shenanigans that went on in the early seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters). In this episode this card is clearly depicted as a trap card.

At 19:46 when dark magician attacked the facedown defense monster it should have been automatically switched to attack mode before damage calculation because of final attack orders meaning sam lost game 1 at 19:47! Also chain destruction doesn't destroy the monster summoned it just sends any other copies of it that the controller has in their hand or deck to the graveyard! Also enemy controller only lets you either change an opponents monster to defense or sacrifice one of your monsters to gain control of an opponent's monster for a turn!

Soul rope: Being destroyed by a card effect is something like fissure, dark hole, shield crush, man eater bug, or lightning vortex. Where the card is actually “Destroyed” by a card effect. Using Soul Exchange and then “TRIBUTING” the monster is not the same as it being destroyed- because it was tributed.

well, we kinda needed the card effects printed on them...but I do like the emphasis on ATK/DEF. I actually like the original OCG layout where the points are given a word border rather than being pushed aside.. but that's sort of impossible with Mighty Master or even Relinquished.

Doooope! When I first got yugioh cards I was so upset that they didn’t look anything like these cards so this was AMAZING!!!! Especially because you’re just duelling your brother lol it feels so wholesome and fun. Cheers for the awesome video.
