When suspected of DUI, should I talk to the officer or remain silent? DUI Lawyer Steve Sumner talks about what you should do in this interview.
NOTE: This video was created in 2009, so some aspects of the advice may have changed slightly due to changes in DUI laws since that time. We strongly recommend that you consult a licensed and experienced attorney for your case, such as DUI Attorney Steve Sumner at UpstateDUI.com, located in Greenville, SC.

You only have to remember One Thing (and this goes for Field Sobriety Tests too) and that is that Any Questions or Field Sobriety Tests are designed for one thing and that is to Use as Evidence Against You. Why would you willingly give them evidence to use against you. Even if you think ""Im Fine"" and "What can it Hurt", no matter what You Think > The officer can twist your answers to questions. Get you confused or put words in your mouth. As well as choose to interpret any Tests you feel you did fine on. In a way that incriminates you.
