Duke Decades | 1960s 

Step back into the 1960s at Duke University! During this decade, Duke welcomed its first Black faculty member Samuel DuBois Cook and first five Black undergraduate students. Martin Luther King Jr., leader of the American civil rights movement, delivered a speech on campus in the early 1960's.
