I have to admit, Billy Boy's maps are the most complicated I've seen in my history playing Duke Nukem, wide battlefields, lots of enemies, puzzles, more than 10 keys per map (total exaggeration... every once in a while he surprises us with one). Question for you Pizza Cake, between BigLight and this one, which one do you prefer? I feel that LightHouse has as much or more variety than DN Memorial Hospital, however, the highlight of this map is the "realistic" setting, and as an extra fact, I have never been able to pass this map through conventional means, not because I could not to do it, but because at a certain point the game crushed, and seeing what followed was completely satisfying. I look forward to your new updates already for Halloween, you never disappoint, if you accept recommendations: 1) Siebenpolis (Wide Awake II / Filler III) - Aymeric Nocus (ck3d), 2) Slaughterfest - Mister Sinister, 3) Sludge Plunge - Mister Sinister, 4) Turok 3 - Duke64Nukem, 5) Ariel - GregR, 6) Q - Karrick, 7) Duke 12:12 - ScottL (Forge) and 8) Deadfall - Billy Boy, any of these will not disappoint. To a Happy Halloween with Duke.
Oh hmm, that's pretty tough to answer! Biglight definitely felt a lot more immersive and made me excited to see every new area I would unlock, but Dukem Hospital felt a lot less complicated to find out where I had to go. Thanks for all the map suggestions too! I'll definitely have to look though all of them whenever I get the time.
Neat map but it's maybe a bit abstract for my taste. It has a pretense of there being a setting but the individual areas are often just too nonsensical to get particularly immersed. Would rather a totally abstract out there map or something a bit more grounded if a bit abstract to the extent duke3d tends to be where there's some possible purpose for the areas that exist to exist.
