He's an absolute mauler and I know we didn't draft JPJ cause this guy's better lol he's a monster. Plays until well after that whistle is blown; look at the way he is just punishing guys on run plays. The second play on the video, he drove his guy like 15 yds down the field he's a beast. Great pick imo.Funny thing is it's the end of the 1st Rd and JPJ is still on the board! What a win it would be if we moved up in the 2nd Rd and nabbed him as well. Go Bucs
Do y’all enjoy watching offensive lineman videos? Please comment & like this video if you do enjoy them. I’m trying to figure out if these are worth making. This video, along with the other OL videos, took probably 10 times longer to make because you really need to re-watch each snap to see if the player made a play. Thank you all so much!
@spaceghost6065 As of right now, Barton looks like a late-1st to 2nd rounder. That's where I've seen him the most on mock drafts. I've made mock drafts in the past & leaning towards doing a community mock again where I post a video & make a 1st round mock based on the mocks commented on the video
I hope we move him inside to play center as most have said the Bucs will. He is an absolute mauler in the run game, great in pass protection too. He should elevate the run game doesn't hurt being 6'5" 321 lbs either lol great pick. Go Bucs
Born June 1, 2002. Played high school football for the Ravenwood Raptors (TN). Played college football for the Duke Blue Devils. Drafted #26 overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Such a great talent, definitely worth a first round pick and i love the versatilitu of him being able to possibly play all positions on the offensive line at a starting caliber level. Would love if he fell to my Dolphins 🐬🧡💙
I have a gutsy feeling this is the Packers pick! Every time I hope they get someone really good, they wind up picking players that were not expected to be picked by the Packers, but they turn out to be studs in the end, so Barton would definitely be a player I could feel excited about cuz it’s a guy that’s not projected to go to GB but has been actually mocked a couple times to the Packers.
You know I was thinking right before I watched this, I wonder how he matched up against Jared Verse this year since he’s another projected 1st rounder and first play they are matched up against one another. Love it!!! This is who I’ve been banging the table for my 9ers to grab this whole time but we are prolly gonna need to trade up
This guy will be a pro bowl level guard for 5-6 seasons The fact that he can swing as a tackle is huge and should get him selected in top 20 Hoping he falls to 20s for Miami haha 🐬
39th pick! For the Carolina Panthers! We building the line out here in Carolina! 300lb and up!!! Let’s gooo!!! Protect Bryce! Get a nice edge in the 2nd! And grab Burton!
The block against FSU was pretty awesome, the rest seemed like basic blocks I would think anyone going to the the NFL should make. Seems like a good player, but he might be getting overhyped on some draft boards.
I don't understand why people suddenly gave this guy a first round grade, he could develop into an eventual starter sure but he's not the same caliber of lineman that a lot of these draft analysts are saying he's going past several higher caliber prospects when a month or so ago he was a projected 4th round guy.
@shanewinslow380 JPJ and Zach Frazier are great centers and both can play at Guard really well but they do not play left tackle bro ! Patrick Paul , Barton is as good as him but Barton can also play Both Guard positions and Center prob as good as Zach Frazier ! Give me that Swiss Army knife Barton anyday over the players you just mentioned !!
@@davenstorm7271 Barton plays all of these positions worse than any of the mentioned players, due to his short arm length he will need to be moved to the interior at the next level, He doesn't have the size or athleticism to play tackle at the next level, his poor run blocking technique will need work before getting to the next level, I've never seen him snap a football so idk why there's even consideration for him at center. Jackson powers Johnson is an immediate plug and play center. Zach Fraizer is a 4x state wrestling champion and knows haw to use leverage better than any of these other prospects as shown when winning reps against byron murphy and t'vondre sweat. barton puts up decent tape against poor competition. If you want a Swiss army knife as a depth piece then sure, take him in the 4th or 5th round and he can be a serviceable backup in case a starter goes down. But as a first round pick it would be foolish for any team to take this guy over the other options on the board
