Duke men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski talks about having his grandson, Michael Savarino, playing for the Blue Devils basketball team. Krzyzewski talked during media day Monday Sept. 23, 2019.
Good for you coach K! You work hard your whole career so you can provide great opportunities for the people you love. I’m happy that you get to share what you’ve built at Duke with your Grandson. ✊🏾
@@thekidFL6 Stop it before you make yourself look even more ignorant. Most D2 players if they were good enough would be playing D1 but they aren't. It doesn't mean that on any given night a D2 kid couldnt lace them up with the big boys but on a consistent basis day in and day out those D2 kids are going to get exposed. Plain and simple. There's a reason you are playing D2 and that's because you aren't good enough to play D1.
What’s your point? Kids get DUI every day and they don’t ruin their lives for it. Paolo owned the car and wasn’t in the drivers seat this only made the news because it was coach Ks grandson. He wasn’t getting much playing time anyway so him being suspended for a few games wasn’t like suspending a star player anyway.
Amazing about nepotism. Bobby Knight even had a succession plan for his unaccomplished son to succeed him. What is going on at Syracuse with the head coaches' sons. As usual, a black man was not given the same liberty, not saying nepotism is good, just blacks don't get to participate in this self serving tradition. John Thompson's son was successful at Princeton before Georgetown hired him. Got them to a Final Four. Overall, not tremendous success, but nothing like these others - Pitino's son getting a Big 10 job after one season as a head coach at a small school. Same in football, college and pro. Andy Reid's sobs being coaches with all their baggage known beforehand . Merit is a relative term. To the victor go the spoils.
What do you mean - what is going on at Syracuse? I suggest you look at how talented Boehiem's sons are before you write something so completely stupid!
@@jacobpurifoy8361 Pistol Pete was LSU's best player. He averaged 40 and LSU was horrible. UCLA beat them by 40 points. Syracuse has slipped big time with him catering to his sons. It's nepotism.
Such a overrated basketball coach,, seriously. Him and Nick Saban. If every top high school basketball and football player go to your school of course your going to win all the time and win championships. They have to change the rules so it's fair ,, the fact that the don't win every single year in my eyes actually makes them not very good at coaching. Ridiculous
He earned his right to get the pick of the litter after competing against other great coaches like Dean Smith. I have watched him build this program to make it what it is. He was in the same conference w/ Dean Smith, Jimmy Volvano, and Lefty Drisell, and Terry Holland and was the youngster.
Still isn't fair,,,, should have some kinda draft out of highschool so Duke and Alabama don't get every best high school players. Reason why pro sports have a salery cap and a draft so one or two teams aren't loaded. Not saying they don't know how to coach but what an advantage to have the best players on your team year after year. I don't blame the kids because 90 percent of the starters go pro but I don't like people holding these coaches in such hi regard when any average coach would do the same or better with all that talent. Like for example if the peacocks win the championship this year that would be more impressive than anything coach k and Saban ever did put together. But if they keep it the same I guess we will just have to get used to Alabama and Duke in the final four every year
@@whitey3624 my point exactly,, it's hilarious that him and Saban don't win the championship every single year getting all the best highschool players every single year,,, both are terribly overrated,,,, thanks
