I lowkey love tiny hats tbh. I was in the ateampunk community back in the day. I had no idea that lolita was a thing. The craft store in my town had a post Halloween sale and they had a million of these little black hat forms for like 50 cents each and my 6th grade self bought as many as i could with my loose change. I glued so much stuff to them and wore them everywhere. The glow up happened my last year of theater college during my costuming training and I took a legit hat making class. I am still nostalgic for tiny hats tho
@@thetachiban57tho not all fascinators are top hats. I have one that's got a bunch of flowers, bees, and honeycomb with a honeycomb shaped "netted veil".
The golf clap comment made me laugh so hard i cried. You are on your A game. We missed your news cast. Its what the lolita community needed right now. BRAVO best video yet.
“Anything that looks Hot Topic and Spirit Halloween had a passionate night together is to be thrown into the sun” Be right back… for entirely unrelated reasons, I need to hide my entire wardrobe…
omg IH35 AND June bugs? This feels like such a quintessentially Texas Lolita video, I'm laughing so hard. And I agree with ALL OF IT. fuck june bugs. I don't normally hare insects, but for some reason, I've been terrified of those things since CHILDHOOD!
Why does AP have bears that look like miniature fluffy serial killers? lol What drugs did they smoke when they came up with the one in the vid? O__O I admit, I like the wrist cuffs and the all of the hair accessories. I guess I have weird tastes. Lmao! Love the eye makeup!
Is it just me or have most AP dresses just become plain dresses with uniform patterns all over it? Nothing wrong if you like that aesthetic but for the price, I’d want the bodice to at least be interesting. And i’m not just talking about Dream Marine, there’s tons of new AP releases that are just solid patterned dresses with no detailed construction. This seems to be a trend
Okay though I'd genuinely by the Magical Moonlight dress ahaha I think it looks like a great beginner friendly option for those of us who've been looking into getting into the fashion but aren't sure what we'd wear the dresses for. And it actually has a plus size option which is incredible. (Though lets face it, plus size probably means mid size American at best, and still won't fit me LOL) But that price is definitely still too much for my poor wallet LOL
I love me some tiny hats but I've hated pretty much every tiny hat lolita brands make I don't understand why they can't make a tiny hat it's not that hard
The only times I've seen mini hats look good is if the person is wearing a massive wig. It makes there head look tiny so the tiny hat doesn't look so weird 😂
Why do I keep watching when I'm a lumbering Amazon who would simply look like a security guard who got tackled by the ghosts of Victorian past who are tired of everyone's shite if I wore any of this? It's pretty as hell, Tyler you are funny as hell, but I would have to be sitting IN hell to wear almost all Lolita wear. All I can imagine is some weird part of my brain likes pretty pretty dresses as much as I like how you do these vids and I just forget how utterly wrong I would look in this loveliness. (And before anyone argues - I'm 6'2, shoulders to make a quarterback jealous, HH36 and have spent a fair bit of time working security, carrying a massive staff with steel end caps. I've had Lolitas try, but no one has ever managed to make me look anything more than a slightly confused humanized elk.)
Elks are still majestic creatures, confused or not ;). All jokes aside you do you. I love decora but the idea of wearing so much Color instead of my regular black or pink give me the ick so I feel you. Some fashions are better worn by someone else
Your security guard description just makes me think you would look absolutely incredible with a military-lolita coord (yes, a brightly coloured one too)
I love the look of the bonnets and the big bows on the headbands, but I can't wear it because I only wear ouji, not lolita. Of course, clothes have no gender, but I have dysphoria and cannot imagine myself in anything as feminine as lolita fashion. At the same time, I freaking love looking like a 8 years old victorian prince. But I don't like any headdresses in ouji. I'm used to mini-hats being a sign of "ita" and halloween costume, and top hats looking like an element of historical reconstruction.
Tyler, would it be possible to get a heads up on when you'll start telling us just how you really feel ? But seriously, if God didn't want us to trigger some people (ok most) he wouldn't have made it so easy... and so much fun.
