Nice work man. But I'ma give you some advice When fading bald to longer hair on top. And before anyone says I don't know anything I've been a barber for 18+ years. Ok so the fade looks super clean my issue is you could of done a little better where the long hair meets the fade it looks to drastic and not subtle what you could of done is use thinning scissors and it would of made that transition really good and not so obvious. And you don't have to worry about making a line with the clippers or cutting length and don't need to go so high up with the 2 that's a technique I use for those types of fades try it and yo won't regret it it does wonders for those types of fades. because it looks like an incomplete fade when that transition is not subtle it just doesn't look good it's like the fade just stops instead of the hair looking gradually longer. But everything else looked sick my nigga. And please I'm not hating or try to disrespect you I'm just looking out and trying to help a fellow barber I always listen to other barbers when showing me new techniques or giving advice. Maybe you already know what I'm taking about with the thinning scissors if not try it out it makes fades look really good keep up the great work son
It was intentional. His hair is wavy near the upper region and crown which makes it more stylish for his waves to stand out. But normally you should do that with scissors/comb or a 2 guard to enhance a better gradient for the fade. But with waves like that it’s better to style your client like a prince and let the body of the waves stand out to exhibit the natural quality and body of his hair follicles.
love u E I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for your videos... I'm making mad money using your techniques .. now I can feed my family .. I appreciate u bro..
Ever since I started to to watch you, the only thing I can comment is that; you have improved so much. I love the background music that you picked for this tutorial, I love the way that you talked and expressed yourself, you kept it simple and clear...the thing I loved the most is that; you kept your unique style intact (the F word was there) and I liked it, why? Because you are not trying to do others, you are doing "You". Thanks for this video I will definitely watch it again. 🙌🍻🙌💥💥
Hello, I'm new to the fading world. I'm not a barber, I'm a cosmetologist that does a lot of fades and men's cuts recently. Your video here is very helpful. A lot of the techniques you use I have been naturally doing. Well my question for you is, how can I fade faster? In my mind I should be fading within 15 minutes at the most. I'm currently fading 20-40 minutes. I'm finding partly it's because of the dents, bumps and scabs that some men have that slow me down. I'm sure it takes time and practice as everything does, but I thought I might ask an experienced barber. Thank you
I work at a high end barber shop and most good haircuts take 30 to 45 minutes..a supercuts haircut will take 15 minutes abd it may be ok for some guys ( 3 or 4 on the side) but good haircuts take time.. You should consider charging more$
So basically with this method of fading you're blending the bald 0 in increments gradually increasing them into the whole fade where the most hair is on top? So from 0, 1/16, 1, 2, and your 3?
Thank you so much for your knowledge and instruction. You are an amazing barber. We all are not perfect but at least when you acknowledged that in regards to the detail, means a lot. I give you 100%
I have been searching ALL over the Internet for something like this!! I recently started working at a sports clips that has predominantly military style cuts and being fresh out of cosmo school I haven't had much experience in blending techniques for men's hair., thank you so much for taking the time to add zoomed in clips of the way you're flicking ur wrist, you seriously are mad talented and might have just saved my life! Definitely will try and pay more attention to my wrist movements!! 👌❤
definitely one of the best fade tutorial out here.everything was on point Down to the music, was looking for inspiration and tips to cut my own hair and this was it. good video
Thank you for the explanations using your hands, they were extremely helpful. Looking forward to fading my Grunt's hair this weekend Last week he had to go get his fade fixed on base, I felt so bad that I let him down 😔 I'm feeling more confident now!
Thanks fpr this video! Really made it comprenhensive for rookies like me! Please keep doing video with steps like this! I follow you since 5 months ago, you're the best, greetings from Mexico!!!
thanks for going into so much detail this is such an underappreciated craft that takes so long to master. Other artistic techniques are easier to learn, oil on canvas doesn't have as many variations as the human head! everyone is different each time.
Daaaang that cut was dope. Really though I got a messed up hair line and never really been into hair cuts like that, but now its time for me to walk around looking like a super star. Thanks for the vid fam.
Tbh man I'm a perfectionist too, so I felt you when you said that those couple hairs were keeping it from being crisp 💯💯 very helpful video as well bro keep it up and thanks 👌🏼👌🏼
Nice tutorial. I have Andis Fade Masters, Wahl Detailers (Twide), and Wahl Seniors. I think I will see what the Five Star Shaver can do. I just cut me and my son, but I think I could use something like that to reduce wear on my other clippers.
great video great techniques. here's an idea for your next tutorial, make a segment dedicated to getting the line up on the forehead straight. for example if you should start from the middle and work your way out etc. great video much respect
Just wanted to leave a comment and let you know how great of a job your doing fam. I'm a barber and I'm already pretty good but I've tweaked some of my techniques from your videos and I'm beginning to go to another level. thanks a lot for all the videos and I'll always be supporting all the way from the LAND, home of the NBA champion cleveland cavaliers... 💪💪 btw when I come to Vegas I need a cut haha
That's a real fade haircut. Remember this! If you can't see a real good blend with the fade, then just get a good clean bald head, and the let someone else cut your hair next time. This dude did real good.
EJones! Your videos are dope man. Good editing, good music and good voice over. I've been cutting my hair for over 20 yrs but just recently started cutting hair for some side cash and your videos have helped me out a lot. I'm waiting for another giveaway brotha. I need an electric shaver 😏 Keep it up brotha. Good work. Take care!
thank you. I spotted and understood many of the mistakes i've been making with this video :). hopefully i can create very nice fades with more practice! i wish i had a barbering license to use an electric shaver too haha
Loved this video. I started cutting hair and nobody takes time to explain everything like you just did.Open/closedFlicking movementI had no idea what those meants
Hey Mister. . . Mr. Jones? Do you mind telling me what kind of light bulb do you use? your barber room is really bright & your haircuts are tight. Thank You
Respect. Nice cut. Liked & subbed. Question tho....... As a barber myself, Don't you think your putting more work on yourself by balding with close shavers? Seems like it's harder to get that demarcation line out imo.
Haha was dead when you said it could have been crisper if you would of cut those 2 little pieces of hair but great vid fam keep it up learning alot from you
Mr E to the Jones Haha, could you please do a short video on how you clean your 5 star wahl shaver between hair cuts as there's not much vids like that on RU-vid and I'm looking for a fast easy method, all the way from SOUTH AFRICA bruh!
you give good tips bruh i cut my brothers hair to save my mom money because where i live the barbers got shitty skills the tips you give me my little brothers always have people at school wanting haircuts from me so thanks for the tips and tutorials your fading in tapers and regular fades are flawless
Man bro ive watched 100 a videos amd when i watched yours is when i figured out how to do the fade i gotta handful a clients and more adding to the list. Thank you so much bro i appreciate your help -ChrisCruz
EJones do you always do one side then the other or when making guidelines you do the whole head? How long for a full haircut to level 2 or 1 with a bald fade? And that time lapse for the back of the head was proper nice.
i fade one side then the other then the back to connect the fade , i think its fast/ cleaner that way . but sometimes i do go side ,back then other side ..
hey bro. when your doing the bottom of the bald fade with the shaver. have you tried to run with the grain to blend the bald to the detailers? still loving the vids
You the shit wit the clippers bruh keep these videos comin you teach me hella new shit i wish I could get you to Come out to my barber school to do a demo that be dope af!!
Respect for keeping it real man I'm all about the detail to homie. I'm about halfway through getting my license right now out here in Vegas gonna try and throw up a channel to any advice to a beginner in this career?
You use the same fading technique on every client ? Just to because a talked to a barber and he said he change the way of fading depending on the type of hair what do you think?
