Imagine being so impatient you cant wait the like 2 seconds it takes for Amtrak to blaze past the crossing at 70mph...... Then that guy waving the train down....lol.

Need to contact the DOT and state trooper.That is a mandatory 60 day license suspension under the CDL requirements if it is his first in 3 years.120 if 2nd and minimum of a year if 3rd.

Did you send the video into the local police to? Glad you reported it though. And pretty clear shot of the driver and company truck. They ought to be able to fine him....

The dump truck screwed up where he stopped, but made the right move to bust through because he had no idea if that train was going to switch tracks there. Better a broken guard rail than risking his life and the engineers life.

Was on a Tri-Rail train in south Florida that hit a crossing arm a few years ago. Probably the same thing with a truck driver. Fortunately, the engineer was able to slow down in time, and we crawled through the crossing with the gate scratching the right side of the train (left a small white line across the entire length of the train). Coming back, the conductor had to flag the crossing while CSX repaired it.

Yes a maintainer came about 30 mins later & no NS told them to do 15 through the crossing looking out

This is the first time I've come across this and I must say I'm very disappointed in this guys lack of judgment. Then I saw the date and realize he did this only two days after my friend and her son were killed by an Amtrak train for trying to cross the tracks. This video proves that people running the yield warnings in Birmingham is indeed a bad habit that maybe news channels and papers should bring more awareness about. Sad to say my close friend and child lost their lives doing this and people still learned nothing.

There is not excuse for this driver, its employer,nor its insurance company. It is just plain LIFE THREATING, for not the vehicles also at the crossing, but the hundred of passengers on board the train. The driver needs to be held PERSONALLY responsible!

Busted a gate but it was csx's fault signal worker didnt activate lights just dropped the gate and heard a crrraackk and saw it laying on the ground signal worker begged me not to file a police report but did anyways guy got cited for improperly flagging an intersection
