Malcolm Greene Sr. Watching you work brings back memories of my falling years. I can almost feel the saw vibrate as you work, Bjarne. Thanks for posting your video's . A tired, old 83 yo. Faller.
All the frustration seems to find it's way to the project at the worst time.......fighting a dull or rocked chain, but you did good and stepped away for a second, to get hung up at a bad time which never helps the mindset lol. That's the timber cuttin gods reminding us we're still only human after all and it can and will happen to the best. Glad the husker lived through it, most times a bucket of part is all to show for your efforts with a little camp heckling on the side. Thanks for sharing a good older video with us pard, safe cuttin
Yessir, all good so long as you aren't test driving the tensile strength of the bump hat.............the rest is replaceable and the pride will heal from the jabbing lol
Buddy I know how frustrating it can be to be hitting little hidden rocks and other assorted crap that you just cant imagine how in the hell they got that far into a tree in the first place. Some time I will tell you about the flint arrowhead my son hit just this last summer....anyway that was a pain I know but the mother nature and general slow poping and ripping of fibers as that old Cedar gave up was one of the absolute coolest natural "slo-mo" drops I have seen. Good Job, stay safe and thanks.
I’ve climbed trees from New York to California,Connecticut to Galveston, I still am honest to myself, I destroy things that shouldn’t be destroyed, because trees are becoming an endangered species as human population increases ,they shouldn’t just willy nilly be taken down . I talk homeowners out of removals all of the time , often in spring on walnut trees , homeowners think they are dead because they are late bloomers compared to the rest of the trees in my area . Don’t take advantage of that which provides our existence with what it needs (oxygen) and also a stable livelihood. I’m just encouraging to be considerate if not of the fact that trees are living beings , then just of other people’s respect for them .
Enjoy watching you put down those big Western Red Cedars... right? So you in BC? On Vancouver? I'm in Southern Oregon....question.. I watch you hang you're slamming axe on some type of hanger on you're belt...man its fast and efficient....what is it... I usually just keep my axe on the ground on in a tree or stump....what are you using, would really like to get one. Thank You Shoe
Ya this video is over 5 years ago. I do a little kiteboarding in the summer but mostly is like to prospect. Just can’t stay out of the bush. I’m also I bit of an inventor. Most of my ideas are pretty far fetched or not marketable but I got a couple promising ones in the works.
I enjoy the spectacular cutting and crash of those mammoths but the ingenious scaffolds and stairs you come up with say you're really a builder at heart, aren't you? :P
