I donate single shoes to the national amputee association. You can sign up on their website. They even send you labels to print for postage. Its a great cause.

I follow another couple who are divers and they found enough shoes to fill up the back of a full sized truck. When they looked at them at home, there was only 3 shoes that had a mate. They kept them to see if they might throw away a mate later but I’m unsure of weather or not they ever did. I’m thinking that shoe stores might only receive one to display. Either way, I think it’s awesome what you decided to do with them! You guys rock!

I used to do product development for a company that made the tags for TJ Maxx and they look like TJ Maxx to me. The tags without the logos are typically printed in store if tags get ripped off or if someone makes a return without the tags. Also, those tags are slightly thinner than the tags with the logos.

They might have been store models, but believe it or not, folks also steal just one shoe. Curbside Junkies, found a huge lot of shoes like this as well. They kept going back and were able get a few matches.

Thank yall for doing this. It makes me sick to think of how there's people out there just throwing out good shoes when there are people who need them. People who have to scrape pennies for shoes. I'm disgusted by these companies that would do such a thing. Just making the landfills bigger and bigger and not even using the stuff. Keep up the good work.

Some stores have only one shoe out on display, and require customers to ask for the other one, so they don’t get stolen. That could explain why you don’t have the mates.

I know last year I got one batch then the next was over a month later...did get 34 matching pairs tho...made several people happy...this year I pulled over 100 singles waiting on second drop😊

When I worked in a shoe store- sometimes shoes would get misplaced or sold with 2 different sizes. They keep them for a little and then throw them away if they can't find the match

I've heard on other divers videos that stores throw out the matching pairs on separate days on purpose because of divers. I assume maybe because people sometimes will get stuff out of the dumpster and try to return it and say they don't have a receipt so it's less of a chance that they'll take them

I use to work at Burlington. We throw out shoes when we can not find the pairs. We usually wait 2/3 weeks before throwing them out. Y’all should check again in a few weeks and you might find the matching pairs! They always turn up later on. 😂
