Years ago before all the rules and regulations came in regarding scrapping and licenses etc we used to have a gardening business and when the weather was bad or we entered winter we did some scrapping using our Leyland daf 1 tonne pickup ,we were lucky really as we had a compound and two workshops that were the main gardening business premises we owned so every afternoon we would reverse the truck into the compound and lock the gates so everything was out of view etc ,next came a brew before we off loaded what we had gathered that day .Luckily we had a giant heavy duty shear set up which we used to chop up things like chairs and table legs etc ,all that went into 8 yard skip we bought ourselves off a skip yard we knew When the skip was full they would collect it with a 10% cost off the scrap for the trouble ! Did it all for a good few years which i enjoyed but sadly the old man passed away in 2014 with the dreaded cancer so we sold up lock stock and barrel so to speak ,miss those times but times change so good luck guys and keep up the good work .
Love this style of video, it's good to be out on the beat with you 😄 Hard rubbish collection in Australia is great but unfortunately many of the councils are not doing it anymore, like my area here has an on demand skip bin, they give you a tiny little skip bin once a year, and as I recently discovered, lowlife neighbours dump their shit in it. I'm in Perth, so the other side of the country to Poly and Ben, and some councils still have street collection but won't be forever 😔 Love you guys, the dynamic between you is awesome. Regardless of how much stuff you have access to, it's still the thrill of the hunt, not knowing what's around the next corner. Keep it up boys, you're a lot of fun to watch. Oh and btw we aussies can have quite the potty mouth 😉

watching this when you mentioned ewaste Ben from Oz, hes the bloke that got me (and a heap of others) into scrapping through watching his videos, (and hes a top bloke) no street scrapping for me, (l live in the bush, 400k from Ben) but he has seen streetscrappers (cable cutters in particular) make 300 bucks in a day cutting cables

Yeah I don’t no how that nacho stuff gets away with the shit he picks up I’ve watched one or two of his videos and like 90% of the hole load is plastic and foam lol try that in this country and the scrap yard would say that they will only take it as a free tip or take it to the landfill

The bike parts Chris?? I'm really sorry fella it was out side looked like scrap obviously it's gone now and u don't live in thar area but I do fish there every so often next time I'm down I'll pop in and sort it at the moment that's the best I can do
