Howdy, y'all! My name is Mike and I absolutely love scavenging for free stuff, random treasures, lost valuables and other interesting artifacts. In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Mike's constant chatter is so addictive it is almost immposible to bypass when one of his videos come up. At the ripe old age of 78 I want to take up scrapping . What did I miss all these years of not scrapping ?

I used to watch quite a few scrapper videos. Now I've narrowed it down to only two. Mike your one of them. Your so full of energy ,I love cracking open a beer after work and watching the scavenger at work. Keep it up its fun to watch and learn !!

3:30 Broken spring from a roll-up overhead door. I need that metal bucket Mike. I have been looking for one like it. Yeah pro tip 13:30, always check to see what's inside boxes and bags before you get back on the road. Don't bring back someone else's forgotten stash. If you get pulled over they ain't going to believe "I just found it in the dumpster!" 18:00 always heard DeVilbiss pronounced day-VIL-bis with the emphasis on the second syllable. French name I think, could be Dutch?

That McCann part is a probe for a BigMac Carbonator. I seen alot of flojet pump mounting brackets in that dumpster. Must be a service company of some sort for beverages.

Hey Mike, thanks for letting me ride shotgun with you. You find the best stuff and say thank you for the scraps. I live in Louisiana so I know how hot it gets in summer. Take water with you as soda doesn't do as good a job as water for your thirst. I find ice cold water makes my stomach hurt, so I drink cool water. Bless you on your trips to the dumpsters. The rollers on that fancy rack is for showing bracelets that's a pretty cool find a few years ago I would have wanted to buy it from you to show the jewelry I would make but I have since suffered nerve damage in my hands and making anything is just a bit beyond me but like I said cool find well worth trying to sell at a yard sale or ebay.

That broken spring was from an commercial overhead door. That is what counter balances the weight of the door.

Broooo....I learned today that we are not allowed to do dumpsters in Florida. It's rather inspiring watching your videos and it will make folks that aren't afraid to get out there and work hard want to try their luck at this in their area. It's ok though bud, I actually still learn things from you on here that apply to other things I do. I Thrift and resell, my favorite thing is Hot Wheels. I sell new ones though, research the trends and go hunting. Take care buddy

In our local news a body was found in the trunk of a car at a recycling center. I saw that, then saw the title of this video and I was startled. Imaging you finding a body.
