In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. When i would do a large retrofit . We had to recycle all lamps and ballasts. The florescent lamps would be ground and sealed in 55gal containers and shiped to an EPA aproved location

One way to avoid negative scrutiny from security would be to get a magnetic sign made for each door on your truck, with something like "Mike's Construction Company" on it.

I am awesome I went dumpster diving this morning from tons of toys and Nike brand and all kinds of good things and I went grocery shopping I’m exhausted just laying here but I’m chilling watching your videos and thank God I don’t have to do anymore tonight but I will do it tomorrow

That is a end cap free roller conveyor , and the gray parts are slides for boxes and packages 📦, kool nice scrap now rite , BigAl

I was in architecture for 30 years, and many of the trades would set aside their scrap for me once they knew I was trying to keep it out of the landfills. Those were some really fun days...

You should park the truck down the road, jump in the open top get some good piles or box it up then get the truck bring it back and load it up.

Its called MC wire, it is solid stranded, THHN is fine stranded mostly used in industrial, it has less resistance,

Hi Mike,in the UK light bulbs ( we call them tubes ) should not be put in rubbish bins we should send them to be recycled as they contain Mercury ( highly toxic ) cheers for a great channel always good to watch.

Here in the USA we are not supposed to put the light tubes in the trash either, technically, BUT we don't have anywhere to recycle them either. So what are we supposed to do with them?

Oklahoma laws are that no bulbs or electronics are to be thrown in the landfill trash. But I micro scrap all the electronics and see florescent bulbs all the time.

No you are not supposed to throw those fluorescent bulbs away in the trash.. They contain mercury and must be disposed of properly.

Only the old ones before they had to stop using mercury in them, most now days are eco-friendly, they're the ones with green ends, all of them should be recycled though not thrown into the landfill.

Mike I think you found these before but if you have one of those flat round wireless chargers for an android you could see about charging up the Samsung with one of those before scrapping it? Then if you can get into it check the IMEI # to make sure it hasn't been blacklisted (lost or stolen) if not than it can be sold and I would sell it with the wireless charger and get a few bucks out of it.

My last Samsung the charging port broke so I bought a wireless charger. Good thing because on this Samsung the charger frayed and it’s not compatible with any other charger in my house, so back to using the wireless. Other than the charging issues (which are BIG issues) I’ve liked my Samsungs but will think twice when this one is paid off.

plastic top bins are awesome... no thought put into security at all with those guys woohoo! I get pc scrap all the time from a place where I live. 1 lock in the center and I can bent the lids 2 feet on either side... :P

Wouldn't it be easier to throw all the small bits into a box then you could tip it into the back of Dottie throw the box back in the dumpster and save yourself the job of picking it all up, enjoyed the video 😊👏👍

Rather than fighting with the boxes constantly I’d set them out n throw garbage in them to help sort thru dumpster n get stuff out of your way - a lot of hassle fighting those boxes
