What a beautiful home and property you live on. Bread is actually really bad for birds. Give them lettuce or something like that. You can get the paint off with Krud Cutter or acetone. The cut cords can be reattached if they are not cut too short.
Not sure what that foam packing stuff is, but to bad it couldn't be used for something. I was thinking like quilt batting, until you said something about wire. Feeding animals can be fun. Thank you folks.
I agree Wade. Shocking how big corporations/food chains throw good food/products away instead of donating items to charity. Glad there are dumpster divers out there saving items from landline. Wish I could dumpster dive, too short, lol
I dumpster dive bed bath and beyond all the time and you can fix those cords and get the spray paint out of all that stuff and resell them..I’m friends with a dumpster diver who has a channel my kind of beautiful and she tells you how to get spray paint out of everything even pillow and fabrics!

Local girl scout troop held a can drive to be able to add a grain/seed dispenser at a local park to make people aware bread is not what you feed the ducks and geese and feed them the right foods..... Following day machine was stolen.. :( They didn't give up they raised money for another..... :)
That is so nice of you to feed the wild life. And a good find of styrofoam & bubble wrap. You have quite a lot of items to post & sell. I haven't found anyone to go along with me yet I am in Columbus Oh & haven't found people that post on You Tube of any other divers. I am too short & disabled to jump in the dumpsters. But I will keep looking when I can
Yay! That’s a great idea. I try to save bubble wrap for shipping because I refuse to buy it...it IS so outrageously expensive. If I run out, I’m definitely dumpster diving for some..I do it for boxes so why not bubble wrap? It’s good to recycle it anyway...we should be doing that anyway...less non-biodegradable junk in the landfills. Good idea to check with the mgr if you’re doing it during business hours.
You should get yourself a few giant blue IKEA bags to put your bubble wrap haul in when you're out and about. Keep one or two in your car and just swap them out with the ones you haul into the office when they become empty.

Another site said that stores ruin that stuff so people cannot take it in for a refund. The cords can be fixed, so unless something is slashed, it probably could be salvaged to sell.
My son & I tried. We only found 2 working monitors, but nobody bought off of eBay & FB market!! He even cut the price in half, no takers, put in trash.
My wife works at rite aid..i have a never ending supply of bubble wrap and just about any other packaging i could ever need..saves a ton of money for sure
When I worked in retail the reason we put paint or destroyed was because we had problems with people going through the dumpster and returning items wanting cash.
Acetone/ nail polish remover takes the spray paint off. Steve N Steph do that too, but then again you have a ton on your plate it probably isn’t worth your time. But you did inspire me to dumpster dive for shipping supplies. Walmart will save you boxes, they have these strong little boxes that spices come in that come in handy for small fragile stuff.
I work at a recycling center and people think I'm just crazy for grabbing all the bubble wrap. It's not cheap, and when they need it, the but me for mine.
Good score on that bubble wrap! You might be able to get some cracked corn and bird feed from Tractor Supply or a local feed store. That would probably be more nutritious for your feathered friends. :-)
I see bubble wrap at the store and I smile to myself....because i have never bought it. Perhaps a new office rule...NOTHING goes on the assistants chair except the assistant! :D :D
Wade bread although it is free is not a good thing for any duck,goose,etc. It has no nutrional value for them. You can feed it to them but Ducks unlimited suggest lettuce,grapes,sunflower seed,cracked corn etc.

wish I could have real bread, celiac. nono. nice on the bubble wrap. I could actually have used some of the foam stuff, but only like a few small pieces, for my outside pond filters. but you mentioned wire so guess not. sad about how the store ruined the items so they are just land fill. And fyi, bread is really bad for birds. know they like it but what do they know? those pebble things in the bows are rice. I have a partial set of the dinner ware, really love them.
Bubble wrappers, boxes, sealing tapes and styrofoam, are all very crucial for all ebay sellers. It helps to save a lots of cost if you can get those free.
Wade, we have a local health foods store that bags up packing peanuts and bubble wrap and all I do is go there and get bags when ever I need packing materials.

Comfort Barenleute - A lot of people have said that. We had ducks and geese when we were growing up. They had corn and bread if the corn got low and we couldn’t get to the feed mill. Of course, it wasn’t every day. Our ducks and geese didn’t fly.
On another note...That is shitty of them to spray paint and cut cords on things ! Some people dumpster dive just to have some things they cant afford to buy .People suck. LOL !
Are you calling the black and grey geese the babies? Those are Canadian Geese. I'm not sure what the breed the sliver and orange ones are. Baby Canadian Geese are mostly yellow and white. And bread is not good for them as others have stated. They might like a container of earthworms if you stop at a bait shop.
When they throw products out, they are writing them off. The government requires that the items be destroyed. The write off is a bigger deduction, than it would be for donations.

Don't feed the geese bread. It is not their natural food. They need the nutrients they find in their natural food! It's like feeding your kids only cereal, with no fruits and vegetables. Let them forage for themselves, (the geese, not your kids.)
