Happy Halloween, everyone! To celebrate this momentous holiday, I present you with a video that I hold very near and dear to my heart. Hope you enjoy!
This is my favorite episode of the entire series. Ever since I first watched it on my Spills and Chills VHS, I have been so enthralled by every aspect of it. I didn't want to remake it until I could fully embrace the scariness of it, and after all these years of experience, I think I pulled off a pretty awesome remake. I don't think it's perfect, but right now, it's my favorite video I've made in a long time. As usual, I'll give the production history with this video. When I was planning videos for this year, I originally had Ghost Train in place of this, but when it came time to start very early pre-production, I didn't know how to pull off the white Percy, so I thought about it, and decided to tackle Duncan Gets Spooked. I knew this was going to be an expensive video, so I saved up some money and put it all to this. QUICK SIDE NOTE: I did build an incline and tried to pull off that one shot, but it was just too hard to get the trucks to behave right. Pre-production began in August and I spent all of September and most of October filming this, which was why there wasn't a new video last month, but that time was very well spent. The night shots on the bridge with the fog are, in my opinion, some of the best things I have ever filmed and I am so proud with how they turned out. Anyways, I'll let you guys get to the video and I'll see you all soon!
I would like to thank Thomas Wooden Railway Models for supplying me with some tender chassis', and for your (and Roman'sTWREmpire's) help when it came to building the incline. Even though I didn't end up using it in the final cut, I appreciate the advice! Thanks guys!
This video is made for both kids and adults. Kids can enjoy seeing their favorite characters on screen and memorable stories being remade or personal stories being told, and teens/adults can enjoy the production value/scale of the video.
