@@deltanaruto100 Whomever did everything and anything with Oscar in this film (including Oscar, lol) deserves an award. He was exceptionally beautiful here, I've got to say.
I love that Dave is getting more roles where he can flex his acting capabilities. A comedy role like Drax was a lot of fun but it's nice that he's getting serious roles. He was also great in Hotel Artemis too.
I was a stand in for the actor playing Timothee's opposite in a movie and he would hang out with me and his own stand in while shots were being set up. He was very humble and friendly. Great dude.
From interviews and because of how reserved and serious Rebecca shows, she obviously felt out of place, all the other actors are so happy and with different types of humor, but it was adorable how she approached them at the end
@@jazfire I didn't know I didn't see it, but it's just an opinion, right? Anyway, she played it great, it's like in a comic book movie or a video game movie, where most of the actors didn't even know the character they were playing and if they have a negative opinion, few share it.
@@mrab8032 She was rude to people who liked the book and said it had to be sexist due to the time it was written without finishing the book and had more than one incident like that in interviews. They moved around a lot of stuff and went overboard to make her feel comfortable even changing some of the marketing, when she did not even want to finish the first book for the her job before she made those comments about it. Even most of the cast who never read the books became fans and did the work where she did not, and while she came off very pretty she didn't do the best job at her character and those who HAVE read the book can tell.
@@jazfire What can I tell you, in my country many of us, we didn't read book or knew about the existence until the internet became more accesible, I had not even heard of Dune until the internet became more commercial and when I did, although I loved the story in general and knowing that the book was a Star War reader that I have loved since little girl, I did not read the book, so this is not a great offense, however I can give you an example I saw the interview with Jeremy Renner where he said that he did not like Hawkeye because compared to his fellow superheroes he did not have a super power in the first Avengers movie, I didn't see people super offended by that or anything (I guess they did but it wasn't great news), but hey there are some very opinion-sensitive people out there who are blind to their fanaticism, since that movie critics highlighted that the entire cast did great
@@mrab8032 It was not her job to like it but she basically did not finish her homework for her job that she signed up for and then made comments during official interviews. This cost the PR team money and they had to do damage control to explain to people who never read the book without spoiling things that it was not sexist, thus part of that whole rebranding thing. If you keep looking into it, it seems more so she just expected to be told everything to do and never understood the basics while being very entitled. I'm sure it was intimidating working with all those people but she seemed to expect a lot rather than get what "the deal" was with Dune in any small way. Why would someone trained to control her entire body, trained to not reveal emotions, slowing aging, controlling their pregnancies, and seduce people, come off proper and high born sound like Donald Duck?
Mamoa has gotten so much better as an actor. He's getting way better at emoting. He can pull off most action scenes too. He'll be a grade-A actor soon, if he isn't already
I wonder if Rebecca was isolated on purpose as she was in the book being under suspicion as a harkonen assassin. Playing Rabban was done perfectly. He is not a blunt instrument as he very much understand the Fremen more than the Baron. All were well casted.
Spoilers. And Rabban was definitely a blunt instrument. He completely misunderstood Fremen numbers, motivation and goals, and was used to pave the way for Feyd, not to ue his expertise. Don't let your love for Bautista cloud the issue.
Ah, just remembered that Brolin and Bardem were in No Country For Old Men as co-protagonists. Wonder how that reunion went with them when they saw each other again on set for Dune.
@@valentin7693 Despite the fact that they hadn't shot a scene together in No Country For Old Men, they actually hang out when they're not filming(even went to a bar or a river, Josh said in some interviews)
It's good bc fast friends. When Selena Gomez hosted Instagram live on Timmy's account, someone asked them "are you two best friends?" then he answered "we're working on it" 😅👍
I didn't get the pronounciation part. Noone did it wrong? They just did it differently. I mean they all come from different parts of the world so of course they do it differently. Having an accent is not a mistake.
You can basically differntiate between D:un in american and D:jun in RP (received pronounciation), well and then of course, since Denis and Timmy are speaking french is translate into d:ün :)
I was wondering how fucking weird they gotta be to have a significant controversy in over pronunciation of a word like dune. English is my second language so I doubted myself for a second before I saw the rest of the clip. That was so dumb omg.
@@nationalhamleague5352 One of the comments David Lynch made regarding the offer made to him to direct the 1984 movie is that he thought the title of the movie was "June." But that might have been a simple misunderstanding due to Rafaella di Laurentiis' accent.
I went to see Dune without any information about what it was. Once I've read Bautista was in it i was sold. Bautista in Blade Runner 2049 was flawless. It was a short role, but executed perfectly.
Timothee Chalamet is pampered by everyone he comes in contact with, without exception: screenwriters, directors, film colleagues.... Well, he behaves in a certain way and I don't think he can be treated any other way.
Mmmm that doesn’t sound good. I’m sure you are looking from the outside here and projecting. He is an incredibly hard working and talented young actor that much is clear. He’s a young movie star therefore he’s giving an awful lot to the film industry. So he’s probably looked after and respected rather than pampered.
@@Belfastboi No, I wish I wasn't misinterpreted. I really appreciate Chalamet, for his talent, for his ambition and intelligence and for the education he received. In addition, he has a very agreeable nature that increases everyone's appreciation. But sometimes I guess he is behaving a little childishly, even though he is no longer a child. I don't really understand here, he does it because that's how he is, or because he's a little cunning.... and then, everyone pampers him, of course! In fact, he's no longer an ordinary person, he's already a personality, so I would like him to "adapt" a little to his actual value.
@@lorainev.1295 what exactly do you mean when you say he acts like a child? in this case i don't think it's a great example bc the actors were trying to take on the nature of their characters, and timothee WAS playing their child. not trying to argue, just genuinely not sure what you mean.
@@annapanza4283 they say integral but could've honestly been cut, noting lost. no one has to whine to the baron for those couple lines lol a main character of the story whos part of the house of the main antagonists, less then 7 minutes in 2 hours? what where they shooting? long shots of the dessert and tim's visions of zendaya
If they leave the future development of these stories in the hands of passionate DUNE lovers, this will be a series that will rival the legendary Star Wars and Lord of The Rings franchises. Looking forward to so much more
@@AresZVII Since they don't have a planned date for filming or any other details, 2022 is becoming increasingly unlikely. They also never mentioned this date though.
Mmmm...nah. Such epic films don't translate well to TV and especially not because they can't get the actors who did the film(s) who give us the world of the story.
Bautista is perfect as Rabban because Rabban is ultimately a tragic villain, one that is being deliberately set up to fail, and have all his loyalty exploited.
I beg to differ, their are many diiferent pronounciations of words, tomato, herb and duty are all words that I hear spoken differently by people in other countries.
Why do people act like the Voice was was supposed to sound weird? It’s just supposed to sound like their normal voice, but it’s tailored to the person they’re influencing. It’s like the tone you use to call a dog. Honestly, as dumb as it sounds, I would probably give anything to be in dune. Dream role would be Scytale the face dancer. Face dancers are probably my all time favorite element of the dune books
Did anyone ever mention to Rebecca that Jason's character is dead? That he's not coming back for Dune Part 2. She's not getting that money. Maybe the movie after that in "Dune Messiah" but fat chance that will be made. 🤣
Not so much a classic gag real as a revealing look at each and every member of this fantastic ensemble cast as themselves and with one another, outside the confines placed on them on set
No bloopers in this video! Javier Bardem sounds exactly like Raul Julia. Like a re-incarnation (except he doesn't look like him - well maybe a tiny bit)!
Cool video, thumbs up and subbed! But as a bit of feedback for next ones, try to spend 1 minute on google and learn to pronounce the director's name at least
It is incredible how such a childish guy in interviews can be so intelligent and talented... as if there are two personalities living in the same person.
it seems You have never been in that position where You are in a group (group projects, exposition in groups, etc..)where everybody hangs out with each other except with you, if You have never experience that You don't have a say, the things she experience are way more common than You think of, I remember that on the It cast, the actrees that played beberly also went through the same thing, Scarlet Johanson too when she was on the Avengers, they are cast members not family, some people are friendly and some aren't, some click with each other some doesn't, as long their personal relationships (good or Bad) doesn't interfere with the movie, i don't see a problem, Seriously people likes to make drama where there isn't
Weird. In the book, Duncan Idaho is smallish, slender, wiry, an elite warrior through speed, not strength. Jason Mamoa is nothing like I imagined Duncan. CAsting a huge guy like Mamoa to be Duncan is like casting a tiny guy like Tom Cruise to be Jack Reacher.
My apologies to the voice talent that his writers think things like that quack pun are appropriate. Good thing that you’re professional enough to make up for it.
Title says Dune bloopers. I didn't see any bloopers, I just saw Hollywood Fluff to tell you how the cast were great friends on set. Is this comment too real? Am I missing something? And every other comment is a "@____". Looks like I am the only real person here. I must leave.
Some people can't wrap their minds around French names. It gets worse when they give the name a Spanish pronunciation because they can't handle French.
