I literally got goosebumps at several scenes. The wait was absolutely worth it. And the best part, I got the IMAX ticket at 300 lol. I generally pay 700 and above for IMAX in Bengaluru.
And so diverse. Its insane he can make an action thriller so understated and real like Sicario and Prisoners and make Blade Runner 2049 and Dune! Insane
@@TriedRefusedProductions and something dark like Incendies. Although his last 4 films are from the sci-fi genre, they are still very different from each other.
@@TriedRefusedProductionshave you familiar with the review channel Deepfocuslens. If not then you should check it out especially her overrated actors, directors and movies videos.
I saw it yesterday and it’s a generational masterpiece. It is our Lawrence of Arabia, our 2001: a space odyssey, our ben hur and our apocalypse now. 10/10 will watch again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥🔥
@@kunalsharma1584 every masterpiece has their own thing. As a cinema lover I don't consider any movie can be considered as the greatest movie. You can call dune one of the greatest sci fi movie . It's up there with the top sci fi movies.
@@stevewhite6241 I haven't seen killer of the flower moon yet but I doubt that it will overtake my experience with Oppenheimer. Those black and white scenes in the end was so instance that it felt like someone was injecting them into my head. The screenplay was a different lv engrossing and sould be watched in a theatre
The cinematography in Dune: Part Two is simply the most beautiful I've seen lately, keeping me completely involved in its story. Every frame ridiculously gorgeous, captivates me almost everytime. The sound design acts as the cherry on top. It surely is one of the most unforgettable theater experiences I've ever had. And Timothee Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson (Mommy) for the win.
Oh man I was waiting for Indian Audience to hop on the Austin Butler train. He's crazy good..... Currently my favourite actor. If you liked him in this movie then check out Elvis, where he literally becomes Elvis Presley
5:46 my most favourite moment in the film....that "Silence" was something else. When the Gom Jabbar test happens in part 1....he struggles at first and then throws a terrific flare at Reverend Mother. That was just a glimpse coz this moment in part 2 where she says "Abomination"...it comes a full circle 🥵💥🔥 Timothee Chalamet has officially become an irreplaceable asset of Hollywood ❤
Denis is definitely a master craftman. What a diverse filmography. Enemy, Prisoners, Arrival , Blade runner 2049, Dune and not to forget Incendies, which had one of most shocking climax of all time.
Man literally walks on water! 1 of the best of this era (if not the best). Will surely end his career with a tag of a legend. I see him as a powerful combination of some the legends like Kubrick, Spielberg, Lynch, Fincher, Scorsese and more!
Thank you so much for doing this review. Being an Indian reviewer, you still have so much knowledge and passion for Hollywood. Your observation, and attention to detail is remarkable. Time to go big..you should be appreciated at world level now. Denis will hopefully accept your invitation for an interview. Keep true and honest and there is nothing stopping you #jammypants. All the love for you from London.
Besides the great cinematography, superb acting, and awesome screenplay, the background music by Hans Zimmer is what made me fall in love with Dune. Hans, who has always been a fan of Dune, clearly shows his passion in the sound design. He really did give it his all this time. Hats off, man! ☕🤍🚬
Despite Dennis‘s customisations, Frank Herbert’s Dune’s essence was maintained!!! The abrupt ending, the fear of religious fanaticism!!! Dennis added the scale and gave it shape, which is spectacular!!! Now I will listen to you analysis!! Had to control myself from watching your reviews, till I saw the movie myself!!!
Dennis Villeneau SuperFan from Sicario Days ❤ His Filmography is Insane on par with Chris Nolan similarly can pull audiences into theatres by his Name 💯 Dune 2 sat on BigPix
If 2000-2010 was the decade of Christopher Nolan (Memento, prestige, batman begins, dark knight, inception) 2010-2021 belongs to Dennis Villeneuve (prisoners, enemy, arrival, br2049, dune etc).. haven't watched sicario and br2049 but never heard a bad review about them
At the end of the movie, I could see so many people apart from me just sitting unmoved as the credits rolled, wrapping their heads around what they had just witnessed, this was otherworldly, quite literally too. Had 70% occupancy in a tier 3 city(beside an IIT though), at an 8 pm show👏, grateful to live in the denis Villeneuve Dune era. ❤
Finally managed to watch the movie today. Absolutely agree with the review - I could not catch it on IMAX but boy oh boy - what a movie! Absolutely LOVED it! And you nailed the review my friend. Well done indeed!
I was in duality of watching this spectacle or appreciate the work and music, what an experience! It surpassed winter soldier, black panther, sits with Life of Pi and Interstellar for me as an experience in IMAX. I cannot imagine if both nolan and villeneuve come together for a project just for the love of IMAX
@@dheeraj009.1yea agreed dune honestly to my eyes looked better than avatar 2 .... Just the fremen riding on the shai hulud was an absolute spectacle .....
@@idrisahmed2659 true James Cameron is a legend but he is completely obsessed with motion capture technology he should take some break and try something like Terminator or Titanic
Wish blade runner 2049 got the same love that dune part 2 is receiving now, it was such a great film but happy that it got cult following now. And dune 2 was a masterpiece, gonna wach it again .
Watched it yesterday in Palladium Imax. It was an epic movie with only few minor underwhelming aspects. But as someone who read the first book, this was possibly the best adaptation for a movie. The books are very complex and cerebral and DV has done a commendable job into adpating it. Ive watched the first movie 4-5 times and i will rewatch the 2nd as well. Also the setup for part 3 is incredible.
Hi, I want to congratulate you on the great work you are doing. I am a long time subscriber and I trust your reviews. They, almost every time, end up being my feelings about the movies i watch too - even if i watch your review after i have watched the movie myself. The latest example of you doing perfect justice and putting in the real work for your videos was when you talked about Bollywood making South Indians caricatures, but also calling out the Southern Movie industries on their choice of selecting and showcasing fair skinned women. You are not afraid of these types of reviews. I applaud that. However (you probably knew this was coming), when it comes to Dune, i feel you were so in awe of the good things that in my opinion, you missed opportunities to call out things that you usually do with movie reviews. I expected you would point put that knowing Paul in the chosen one (at least thats clear in the movies) we know he cannot be defeated, which made the fight scenes predictable. Beautiful to watch, but predictable. And when he calls a giant sand-worm to ride, the only indication that it was big, was Stilgar yelling “oh not that big!!” Or something like that. Another thing was there seemed to be no difference in Paul’s mannerisms after he accepted the revelation of his lineage. It felt the same. Don’t get me wrong i loved the movies and the book its based on, but the astute observer in you was i guess overcome by the fanboy. I write this to encourage you to be as matter of fact as you usually are with Hollywood movies too. Or the fact that the emperor’s army and the Harks were so strong in part one but were too weak in part 2. I mean Raban deserved a boss fight scene! What do you think about these points?
It's Dennis world, he always deliver, blade runner 2049 is the best Sci fi movie of our generation but people don't turn up for his movies, hope Fraser win best cinematography Oscar, he is simply the best
Dennis is a master, Hans Zimmer's score 🔥🔥. Got goosebumps when he said "Silence". Its really a shame that we have to wait for sometime for the third installment of the film 😢😢😢
Really the brilliance of Hans Zimmer can be truly experienced in IMAX, it adds a special flavor to ever scene especially when it's paul atriedes in screen.
I had such a good time at the theatre today. 😮 It was jaw dropping towards the last half. The only criticism I have is that they are stating too much of the dilemma of Paul whereas visually it's a treat. It's visual masterclass
Dune 2 is such a masterpiece. It has followed the books much better than Part 1, capturing small points as well..though not showing Alia in person, is a creative decision they took...but Paul Muaddib steals the showm
You have to read the whole saga . I am so excited for the future instalments and hoping that they also make prequels where they explore the politics and the relationship between the atreides and harkonnen . And what happened to earth and different religions and the killing machines . Aaaaa
Came back after watching it on Imax screen, man it was every frame an art piece would recommend watching it on an Imax screen if you have the money and time to spare, such a great experience. My only negative would be the Harkonnens in the second part they did not seem like the cold calculating ruthless race of people portrayed in Dune part one they seem to make many choices that would put them in a vulnerable place which kind of fell out of character sometimes. Apart from this small problem really great experience watching .
Morning: dune part one 1(re-watch) , Afternoon:dune part two, It's a Dune day for me.The war episode runtime was short but it was marvelous, Timothee doesn't have a Bahubali body but the aura is all there and he carried it exponentially through out the film
I'm so excited now, i made my friend watch Dune part 1 last night, he isn't big fan of cinema and watches mass movies only, i usually like to go out with him only to watch movies and he couldn't hold back his excitement to watch dune 2
I see dune part 2 as pre-paul drinking water of life and post-paul drinking water of life, this movie kicked up a notch after paul drank the water of life, Timothee as Paul acted like a man possessed, fully embracing his abilities to see possible futures and swaying the Fremen with the prophecy. I did not buy into Timothee as Paul Atredies in Part 1 but man he really killed it in Part 2 especially the final hour or so!!!!
I watched it here in France on Tuesday since it released earlier. I was awestruck with cinematography and hans Zimmer score . At times I felt like Kgf adrenaline rush . Best in recent times.
It's too early in the year I know, but I don't think there is gonna be any cinema experience for me, which would top that of *Dune Part 2* in *IMAX ❤🔥*
THIS MOVIE IS HISTORY IN MAKING. everything from CGI to acting was phenomenal. Soundtrack, plot, story, motivation of characters. World building and the intricate politics going on. Oh damn everything was perfect PERFEEEEECT. And the last part where the battle occurs was cherry on toping.
Although there were a few diversions from the book, this movie was exceptionally made, even a notch better than the book imo. I did not expect Timothy to pull off the more matured version of Paul Atreides.
for me first half was bit slow and 2nd half blew my mind.. what i loved about this movie is how well all the characters are written, the stilgar unwavering faith in lishan-al gaib prophecy and chani's disregard to it, the paul turmoil, lady jessican evil intent, i was at awe. imo i felt fayd rautha could have been more psychotic then he was shown, let's hope we get to see his child take revenge if possible in next movie
Thank God you addressed it.I don't see why people especially indian audience are calling this film boring.I mean you really want big explosions every 10 minutes? I was engaged throughout the film.Maybe this is why We might never get film like Dune cause we people don't want to see world building and character development. Just Boom Bam shit. Then they complain why mass films are mindless action flicks
I was shocked to the core , a chill ran down my spine when I watched INCENDIES (a film of Dennis Villeneuve that is less discussed in popular parlance) 😮😮😮😮😮 t
you always talked about the trailer, and snips released before movies. How did you felt about Dune 2, because there were a lot of trailer already giving away a lot of story and plot lines. Do you think they did a bit to much in trailer. What's your thoughts on this?
