This is why we can't have nice things is an irregular retrospective series talking about the sad end of games or franchises, usually due to lack of commercial success. I had completely forgot what it was like to listen to TB review something. I picked up many games because he had a unique and well stated way of pointing out how a game is fun. Hell I even felt like going for the Dungeon game but he does spend some time bashing how they essentially cash grabbed the final title since the second one didn't sell well.

Don't let that stop you...I've delved into Dk and DK2 let's plays because they were so fun to play. Even My Mom loved it. Unfortunately, I don't have the hard media, the comp. OR the money to spend on digital copies anymore.

I know the recent comments are saying the same thing. But I love getting recommended TB videos years after his passing. I would spend entire days playing or working on one monitor while having TB vids on the other. His content was one of a kind. WTF is, SC King of the Hill, Lord of the Gimmicks. His influence is definitely still seen today. Continue to be RIP. And thank you.

Horned Reaper summon in DK1 was Bile Demon a Mistress and a Spider all at once. No fixed limit to how many you could summon. The Horned Reaper would typically go nuts if you didn't manage it (keep it working!)

@@kidnothing5826 Every time I play TW Warhammer I still think how sad it is that he wouldn't get to see the trilogy completed since he was a big fan of Warhammer. 😢 So many people are touched by cancer. I was half lucky, my mother was cured of ovarian cancer, but my step-dad got diagnosed with throat and intestinal cancers and had to have his esophagus and large intestines removed. He's also now cured of cancer but he can't eat/digest normal foods anymore. He has to be fed formula through his stomach, it doesn't give him adequate nutrience. The poor guy's almost just a skeleton. He's bed ridden most of the time with no energy and has to be given oxygen. It's painful to watch.

Theres a patch for both dungeon keeper 1 and DK2 that remedies all the bugs and cut content, plus heaps!! of fan made levels and campaigns, a lot of them very good. People are still playing it in 2022. Great game.

I was 1 when the original Dungeon Keeper came out. Grew up young with my brother playing it and I soon followed. My fave game along with Dark Souls and Elden Ring.

War for the Overworld was OK. Really was Ok, I mean I almost finished it but the spirit very much still wasnt there and so for the 6th or 7th time, now in 2021 I go back to GOG (having lost my cd copy decades ago) and I enjoy every single second of the campain of Dungeon Keeper 2. In my opinion the most immortalized and perfectly balanced game that exists. It seems ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE that nobody has been able to replicate it, or at least come close. Again I do recommend WftO if you are a die hard fan like me but dont expect to be perfectly transported back, at this point it really seems impossible.
