Anthony does such a good job portraying an emotional abuser (that’s not an indictment against Anthony!!!) but he really captured the duplicity of someone who appears so charming when they need to, but can remove that mask. I got chills when he raised his voice. Much love to anyone who has ever had to deal with their own Willy ❤

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst was literally my mantra threw out all of schooling. When you give yourself low expectations, you don’t get disappointed. You can’t get disappointed if you expect it in the first place. I’d used to say that to myself so much growing up. Isn’t the most original thing but it been a manifestion of all the things I was forced to deal with. It became words truer than anything else spawned from my brain trying to cope with constant let downs.

I knew the moment Anthony laid out and was mulling over the fact that if he hated you, I would at least explain some thing, and give tangibility to the feelings within this relationship that it would be absolutely nothing. But he didn’t care one way or the other, because out of anything at all, nothing else can hurt worse or more. She’s your father. He supposed to feel some way about you even if it’s extremely negative. But if he didn’t care about you at all. If you just happened to exist, and the only connection to the two of you being blood and nothing else. Turn all the wondering and all the shitty dad hood falls apart. Because he never felt anything for you at all. Simply a mistake, an annoyance, a headache. And note cen because you’re his son, you just happen to be the fruits of his labor.
