This journal was a consignment special order piece for a very dear high school friend of mine. Her daughter is an avid Dungeons and Dragons player and she wanted something extraordinary for her daughter. While I didn't know too much about the game, I really went head on into this with research and development. I thoroughly enjoyed myself with this one. So welcome my friends...to a world where...Dragons are real!!

As a D&D player and crafter I am in absolute awe. This is amazing! Everything fits and there are so many tiny details everywhere. It's really, really amazing and really tells of the amount of love you put into this. In love! (and rolling initiative is what you do at the beginning of combat, it determines in what order the players have their turns) Much love from the Netherlands!

As a DnD player you did a spectacular job!! It's a very research and info heavy game (I get confused very often XD ) so it shows just how much effort you put in. It looks incredible, so medieval and magical. I've been scouring the internet for DnD themed junk journals as inspiration for one I want to make myself and this is exactly the kind of video I've been searching for! Keep up the fantastic work

It is impressive to see the effort and love you put in for your client. I can't imagine you got compensated equal to the time and effort you put in but I can tell got great joy making the journal. It was funny to hear you describe the D&D-related stuff as a DM. You did amazing and there were so many things you included like the (Heroforge?) portraits and the dragon notecards that were so original. Love seeing crossover's between hobbies.

Thank you so much!! I wish I knew more about the actual game. I hung out at gaming stores to watch them play and was totally mesmerized but got a bit lost sometimes. Lol!! I did as best as I could. ❤️🤗❤️

this is so amazing and beautiful as a player im so impressed at all the effort put into it. i found this whole looking for inspiration as i’m making my own journal right now for dnd. if you have the links to any of the images you got offline like the character sheets and d20 diagrams that you could link it would be much appreciated

This is such a work of art! I am in awe! That brings up the personal problem I have with beautiful things like this. From cooked things that then I don't want to eat to works of art made for utility purposes that I don't end up using so I don't break the aesthetics they had in the start. I would feel really wrong to use my ugly handwriting over this amazing journal. I know is irrational because like you said, you want it to be used and enjoyed, but... I just feel how I feel, sigh -_-

Thank you Stefan! Aging paper is fairly easy… just time consuming. I usually use a mixture of instant coffee (about 4 table spoons) or strong tea (about 10 tea bags) with 2-1/2 to 3 cups of hot water. You need to add a tablespoon of baking soda as well to make the paper archival. I soak each page separately for about 2 minutes then lay flat to dry or in the oven on 250 degrees for a couple of minutes. Hope that helps. You can ink the edges as well to darken it up or tear the edges with a ruler for a guide to decile them. ❤️🤗❤️

I'm very inspired though, I think after finals (I'm a college student) I'm going to put way too much time and effort into making a very cool journal for my new character/campaign. I've done book binding before and now I really want to get back into it.

I love how this journal turned out, and I'm trying to make my own (for d&d as well). How did you achieve the aged effect on the images? Did you print first, then dye later or was it the other way around? And did you use coffee or tea or something else? ^^ Have a great day! ^^
