The whole talk at the start about them forgetting to visit a human friend only to learn it has passed away, reminds me of an ongoing anime called Frieren. It's a charming yet melancholy feel.

Long Lived D&D races: We respect Humans for their boundless initiative and desire to get things done. Actual Humans: Ugh… I don’t want to fold the Laundry!!! Maybe that’s the reason we rarely see Dragons wear clothes. They just all have a massive pile of laundry that they’ve been putting off for several epochs

Let's go collectively anger that dragon, so we can play the victim, and use that as propaganda to get more humans to do it."
