I think these are so unique! I'm surprised that you didn't mention that the illustration of the insoles is Utagawa Kuniyoshi's Throwing Beans at Fleeing Demon”, since you collect ukiyo-e. Anyway, thanks for posting this video! It's the only in-depth review of these shoes I've seen so far.
Had no idea you had a sneaker channel! I have been waiting to buy these for a long time, finally dropped below $200 in my size and pulled the triigger, will also be dropping a video on them
A much better video than mine I'm sure! Actually the channel is only about 1/3 sneaker vids and 2/3 life in Japan videos. Can't wait to see your take on these. I love them and have been wearing them a lot. Typical dunk low though - toe box creases pretty quick.
got em on the released date. I haven't seen them in person but this video is really helpful. Gotta say the purple swoosh is a sure thing for me. The whole execution does live up to the setsubun festival theme. Nice video
These just dropped yesterday, April 11th, in the States! I was soo bummed that I didn't hit a pair on Nike or any raffles. I was waiting for them to drop for a year! But luckily I managed to snag a leftover pair today! People were saying they were mid and that they were gonna pass on them but they sold out everywhere! Super excited to have these in the collection!
I may have to double up. This is the type of pair that needs to have one on ice, since I am plan to wear them to death. Also, I have already seen 3 pairs on the street!
Yes I think you're right I paid way over retail for mine in the states last year from Goat. We had a couple raffles here this week. I bought a second pair, since resale tanked. So glad you got a pair, you need them more than anyone. Was so happy to see this in my feed lol. Cheers man.
Thanks again for the heads up. Every so often I pulled up the dunk high women's "Setsubun" but... I really dont like them. The pair I am waffling on is the "Izakaya" air force mids, but I struggle with fit ideas for those. Thanks again for your support!
Grey/beige/brown and purple are such a good combination. I wish it were easier to do non-destructive material tests on new sneakers. Could be fun to do a real/fake leather proportions study across a range of them. In theory it would only require a minute sliver of each leather patch on the shoe. Hardly noticeable, even. But it would probably be ethical to disclose that material was removed when reselling :/ Might tank the value, even if it can’t be noticed. Oh well.
Thats what I thought, but I wasnt sure. Did they really drop in China before Japan? That's kind of like having St. Patrick's Day dunks drop in Japan before America.
Should I be worried about these having reps?? I saw them on this site called pop something. I'm so ready to pull the trigger but, I'm stumped on buying on resell sites now 😮💨
Dunks arent quite as roomy as AF1s in my experience. I usually get a 10 in dunks and 9.5 in AF but I have a wide foot. If you dont have wide feet your usual size should be fine.
Just today? They informed me of failure back on the 3rd, lol. Atmos is weird. I failed to hit on the raffle for the Skajan Puma suedes, but then they were just readily for sale on their site, so I bought them. It makes no sense.
@@Exjapter yea for sure i predict these are gonna be like the zion 1s that dipped to 200 at first now they are at 500. its a premium dunk and its also themed. depending on stock numbers im sure theres gonna be a rise in price atleast to 250-300
