Fun fact about Arden Lyn: She was going to be the main character of the new Star Wars films instead of Rey but she kept using her iconic crushing punch to kill everyone. This would have resolved the entire plot in 10 minutes.
Dunkey's ability to find the cheese move in every game is unparalleled at the best of times, but then the devs go and give him Thuk's "Crouching Punch" and Hoar's "Jumping Strike" and he truly becomes a master. 9/10 Max Rebo wasn't in it

I played this game so much as a kid because I loved Star wars so much. I could tell the game was bad, and didn't care because I just wanted to swing a saber.
Clearly Dunkey hasn't seen the latest episode of the live action Thok remake where he goes big mode but sacrifices his speed for power. This causes the speedster Arden Lyn (masterfully portrayed by Whoopi Goldberg) to get an easy win.
This video becomes even better in retrospect, now that we know they were definitely in the planning phase for BigMode Games we can see why they both lost their minds over Thok having a Big Mode power
@@jesaja The Finnish is weird, but it's an in-joke/veiled reference to one of the game's clear inspirations, Tekken. Tekken is Japanese for "iron fist", roughly analogous to this game using Finnish "steel hand".

One finnish youtuber got a job to created an entire alien language for star wars force awakens. it's a bit weird though that a franchise decides to use finnish language as one of their naming references. The the fighting style teräs käsi and the planet called Kalevala (the finnish national epic).

I used to hate this game because this was a game my older cousin would make me play, refuse to teach me ANY controls, and then just kick my ass over and over until I would rage-quit. I respect it now, but this brings back such gamer rage ptsd.
So I had this game as a kid... It's not the worst (and not the best) but my sister was a huge Star Wars fan who loved Princess Leia. So I was playing as Thok and absolutely brutalizing Leia and laughing. She got so upset she literally body slammed me jumping off my bed like some pro wrestler.
You could have fun with this game forever as a kid, so funny that everyone talks bad about it and all the reviews are bad but the game is legit so funny and entertaining.
Used to love this game when I was a kid. Obviously, it wasn't actually a good game, but those graphics are really nice for a PS1 game. Probably one of the main reasons child me thought it was so cool... that, and just playing as Star Wars characters in a fighter 😅
