Agreed, I know he didn't stream for ages because his pc broke. But I guess he doesn't feel like it, which is a shame because yeah he's very entertaining in a different way to his normal youtube stuff.
@@IdiotRace might be because of BIGMODE taking up more of his and Leah's time? I feel like what makes dunkey dunkey is that he does what he enjoys not like others who feel like its all a scheduled thing yk
Seeing Dunkey have 5 revolver rounds, 6 rifle bullets, 11 shotgun shells, 2 medkits, 1 smokebomb, some arrows, 3 moltov cocktails and finally 3 nail bombs when I'm currently doing a grounded playthrough is making me feel a certain way.
I think Walter screwed up by posting footage of a game where kids get scammed by a toy store that sells dolls that are too big for their clothes and houses. That’s such a big drama.
Finally after 2 generations the PS5 has the ability to capture the giraffe scene in its finest glory like how it was went to be. Thank you for the upload Walter.
walter my boy, my brother, i hope dearly that you are okay. it must be difficult for you after what dunkey has done to everything you have built. we are here for you
I didnt catch this live, as the video first begins, is that where Dunk began his stream too, or is this just a recording limitation thing or w/e. I would have thought Dunkster would have started from the beginning, ya know, like a person would normally do with a game. Edit: After watching more of the video, I have come to understand the purpose of the stream he did, and why it is as it is.
Hey Walter I've seen you're subscribed to Archipel. After watching Dunk's Shin Megami Tensei V livestream a question has been floating in my mind: "why are these JRPGs appealing to people?". They've always looked so boring to me. And Dunkman's treatment of these games hasn't been helping lol. So I've been trying to get it and have been enjoying these chill Archipel documentaries. As a person who doesn't know much about Japanese games and culture but has been introducing themselves to Yakuza and really digging the story it's really nice to get to learn some context for it and the great classics from the mouths of these legendary artists. To anyone interested in learning a bit of Japanese games history I recommend their video "The Resurgence of Japanese Games". Also GMTK has a pretty solid video on JRPG history too. The closest thing for an answer to "why are JRPGs appealing?" I've got is: it's all they had. It's simply how their national videogames evolved and they didn't have the same huge funding like some western studios had to make super huge and complex projects. But I'm not satisfied with my answer because it doesn't explain why are lots of people outside of Japan obsessed with these JRPGs despite having access to bigger and more complex games. Even if they're not necessarily an Otaku. Guess the only way to find out will be to actually play some of the best JRPGs by myself some day. Anyway, Thank you for the upload Walter :)
Earthbound persona 5 the original paper mario are all really good. They all have great music, art and stories. If you want to play some “good” rpgs that’s what I recommend as someone who doesn’t like the genre much
I'll probably start with the og Final Fantasy VII. Since the ones you mention are really outsiders to the JRPG norm. I feel that playing Earthbound first would be like introducing yourself to western games with The Stanley Parable. I wouldn't really get the subversion of tropes without the context.
@@scaressell6880 no they aren’t. Nobody respects them anymore, something they had a clear advantage last gen. The only people buying the console are scalpers, which is why the exclusives sell terribly considering there are ‘20 million’ units out there
