You could easily say duo has grandma drive them to shoplift. The term hit a lick means a robbery. That didn't happen.

First, how low can people get these days to commit a crime? Low enough to take elderly parents for granted as if the young ones think they can get away with doing what they want to do with elderly people because of the tendency for elderly people to be kind, caring, and helpful. Nothing bad about being a sweetheart and caring person who helps other people but at the same time not being naive and taken advantage of by anybody who wants someone to be convinced to do their dirty work. Second, we have all been there when you have no money or insufficient money and you are hungry or the family is hungry. It is a struggle but that does not mean it is an excuse for you to steal, especially stealing more than just food. Stealing food is also a crime but very rarely grocery store owners let only a tiny amount of food stolen let go of just once and that is it especially when an entire family is hungry and everybody involved complies, is calm, has no criminal history, and honestly been the first time stealing. There are ways to have food including food pantries that give out free food to families and individuals struggling to have food.

Did i hear her say they stole because they needed food? (They had a "food problem") I'm so sick of people using "the economy", they can't afford it, as an excuse to steal groceries, when the grocery items they're stealing are not necessities. It's always full of cookies, chips, soda etc. Hardly a healthy food item in there, if at all.
