When I was racing, down-hauling big sails was horrible. And when I was really young I had to get my dad to help. Towards the end of my racing the power.xt came out and allowed us to rig massive sails and tune them with just one hand.
One of the best bit for me now is I don’t have to sit down on the ground to rig my sail. if you live in the uk you will understand how wet and muddy the ground can be in the winter.
Also, sails stretch over time and the wind changes. So a setting you thought was perfect will need adapting. The power xt allows you to do this without removing your sail from your board. And even on the water!
Which is actually a very good saftey feature and will avoid your sail or board blowing away when changing settings becuase the wind has changed.
They are more expensive than a standard extension. But they last for many years. we also sell all the parts so they are self serviceable and repairable.
