The dupe brushes seems to smear, and streak, and not glide smoothly. The performance from the Artis brush was flawless.

I think that she had already formed an opinion before using either. Solely on feel alone. And when that's done it won't be unbiased. It's unintentional but just human nature.

these people with their crazy rude comments... if they don't like it - why did they watch to the end... lol people are nuts. i watched the entire video because i wanted details. you gave details and i was able to see STEP BY STEP the difference in application. the artis brushes for foundation all day, i think are better. the side with the artis brush application was more real looking. looked like good flawless skin. I've been a makeup artist for over 15 years & for my self application, i love real technique brushes. the artis brushes for foundation & powder make MUCH sense. thank you for such a detailed video. it was long but well worth it. 😊

As a broke-ass college student I think I will buy the dupes. I've never tried the Artis brushes so I think I'll be satisfied.

Honestly, I think the reason a lot of people would spend $400 on the Artis set is to be able to tell other people they spent $400 on the set. Not that they aren't good, but man, that's a LOT of money...

I wouldn't pay $400 for brushes unless they made me look like Jennifer Lawrence.

You act like you're completely disgusted with the dupes. This is probably one of the worst dupe videos I've seen. You start off each side differently. You don't say anything positive about the dupes, it's just a really biased video. You really do hold the dupes differently, your face even moves around more. Like when you were doing the foundation, you didn't even finish it before you commented on it...

It looks like the Artis brush made your makeup meld with your skin whereas the dupe left the makeup sitting on the surface. Excellent demo! Very helpful. And I LIVE for your facial expressions!!!! I'm subscribing to you just for that!

So I watched the video in its entirety but feel as though you were biased in your opinion. I wanted to know were you overall satisfied with the comparable brushes? Would you buy them again? Or would you buy maybe a few instead of the 10 pc set? And if that was the case which brushes would you purchase? Yes we saw what happened but it also seemed as though you handled the comparable brushes differently than the Artis brushes. So I can't go off of what I saw. Not trying to be rude just stating my opinion from what I observed. However, I do want to thank you for your time & effort put into making this video. 🙂

the artis brushes look like they absorbed more product. i got the whole artis brush set from my brother for christmas and i do really love them but i bought myself the dupes off of ebay and i like them too. but i think you gave the artis brushes a better chance because they are more expensive. if you want a true opinion on the artis brushes or the mac masterclass brushes. watch chloe morello's videos on them.

It is so refreshing to watch one of your videos after doing an overload on RU-vid. Some vloggers/bloggers are so programmed that it gets really dull after a few but when I come to one of your videos, MY GOSH!!!!!, I wanna jump up and do the happy dance! You are by far the the best beauty RU-vidr on RU-vid. I can watch your videos over and over all day.

I like the general demeanor and presentation by this RU-vid Artist, BUT I have a problem with this video in that it is an obviously biased review in favor of the more expensive product for most of the brushes in terms of the application portion. I wish she would refilm that entire portion, because she really didn't give the cheaper products any kind of a fair test. First, even she admits that she used Way to much product when she applied her foundation - Especially on the "dupe/comparable" side. Naturally, the application on that side was streaky - and of course the powder brush later removed product. Notice that it only happened on the "dupe/comparable side." That's going to happen with an overdose of product no matter what you use to apply it. Then, for everything else but the powder, she applies the makeup product all over her face up front, and lets it dry on her face on the "dupe/comparable" side for several minutes while she blends with the Artis brushes and expounds on that experience before using the "dupe/comparable" blenders on the other side of her face. If your makeup product has dried on your face, again, of course it's not going to blend as smoothly, no matter what you use to blend it. This seems super obvious to me, and I'm just a regular person, not any kind of makeup artist. TLDR: Please refilm the application portion of this comparison video with correct application techniques for both blenders, not just the expensive one. Thank you.

Honey child, I had heard of the Artis brushes but went to eBay and bought the dupe set 3 months ago for $17 and I love them. Yep!

She is showing favoritism because of the price 😂.....it's like her mood changed when it was dupes turn .....she was more optimistic about the artis

Me personally i love the dupe side but all in all they are both really good.

Idk if it is me, your camera, or your lighting.... but on the dupe side, your foundation seemed to look yellower than on the Artis side. Idk. You did say the blend different.

I use the dupe version and you need to do a rocking motion, not a gliding motion, gliding will leave streaks as it is so dense and use minimal product and add if necessary, it doesn't sink into the brush at all so you'll have alot of product just sitting on your face.

thanks to your video i just bought a set of the dupes (all 10 with a tray and box) on ebay for 14.99 free shipping. I know they won't be exactly like the artist brushes but I can't afford that much for makeup brushes and having never tried the artist brushes I think these will feel and work just fine for me. If I had felt the expensive ones it might be different but I haven't so I'm good to go. Thank you for your honest and very clear video on these. Thank you for showing these1 :D All of these brushes (both dupe and original) are all made in the same place and the brands just resell with their name on it. Anytime I see a new/special brush I wait to see if it shows up on Ebay and buy it there. I would like to try these, especially to see how well they hold up across light cleanings with Parian Spirit. (PS is an awesome cleaner but over time, if not careful it can loosen the glue in the ferrule and the bristles can fall out).

As a makeup artist I personally love the Asian kabuki brushes it is something you have to get used to but they are great to work with.

Wow! Can definitely tell the difference. The Artis gives a very flawless natural look. I almost bought the dupe brushes, but I think its worth spending the extra money and getting a couple of the Artis brushes for foundation.

Thanks. To me the Artis brushes seem superior. I could see the streaking on the duped side, and they appeared to require more work. I need a quick application that's as close to flawless as I can get. Happy to know that I didn't waste my money when I purchased the Oval 6 from Artis.

I bought a few dupe brushes a while ago because, being new to foundation, I wasn't about to pay for the artis brushes. The dupes were just okay. Now I think I may need to pony up for the artis! What I noticed most, even more than the difference in blending, was how much faster your application was with the Artis brushes. I think they must have been twice as fast, and that can make a huge difference when you're trying to get out the door. Thanks for the side by side comparison. It was very informative.

i really like how she gave the dupes a chance. i've seen a lot of these videos and everyone always immediatly disliked the dupes. of course they won't be as good as the real ones but for that price they are really damn great. and she didn't just mention the pros of the artis brushes and the contras of the dupes, she said pros and cons of both which i really liked, and that she said, that both are made in china and both have plastic handles was great as well. my favorite brush comparison video by far! (sorry for my bad english 😅)

I purchased the MAC Masterclass brushes a couple of years ago.......the same company worked with MAC when they released those brushes......they are the SAME brushes. They have been sitting because I couldn't get used to them. I can really see how great they are at blending because of this demo and I plan to revisit them. Thanks and good to see you!

I really like her, but I felt like she actually wanted to dislike the dupes. Maybe it's because she wants to justify the real ones or maybe it's just a natural bias towards the more luxury one, but I felt like the dupes never stood a chance.

The dupe brushes seemed to take longer to blend perfectly and was very patchy. And the actual artis brushes took less time to blend and glided easier across her face without any patching. So from what I saw I would say the Artis foundation brushes are worth the money
