If you want a better experience and possibly faster one, there's a scripted version with all the DLC it really speeds up the game Edit: After watching the video you got to be careful with the rules, at about 1:22:00 ish Lewis reads out of the pegasus book about executions, But the rules changed when miracle tokens were added...

Love having more of this really excited for more in the future! hopefully with ben back both because hes the best and also because whilst daltos is great he is not really as adept at being our point of view so in this vid its sometimes hard to tell what others are doing whereas before ben was constantly zooming on what we needed to be looking at.

Honestly Daltos just stumps me on how he plays sometimes.

Knowing the loyalty of the perspective we're in adds a lot of fun when I'm watching, it made this less enjoyable for me to not know who any of the characters were at the outset though I'm still very glad to have been introduced to this game

Daltos made this much harder to enjoy than it should have been, between the cackling, the vaping and the screaming at chat like a baby.

These games are always fun to watch; one complaint. Daltos is in one of his particular moods where he's just annoying. Maybe I single him out too much, but that's what it felt like to me.

Its fun but please... don't have Daltos handle stuff like this When one needs to go afk, that's fine If one has to answer a phone, that's fine Shouting that people are annoyed that the streamer in question isn't there is also fine What isn't fine is shouting and intentionally moving the camera erratically to make people feel ill because they are annoyed that someone went afk who's supposed to be running the show Minor thing? Yes Should this happen again? No How do we avoid this from happening again? By not having Daltos run the show

Daltos unmasking by just going straight murdermode with Cain is both peak Daltos and peak Cain 😂

Funny that they read the new locations and actions after the game is over.

FYI: Assault raptors(the big one) rarely get used, but are decent at shooting Basestars, so can be handy if used in conjunction with maximum firepower to remove Basestars from the board.

As a general commentary on the balance of the game: When first playing this game, and it's true after every expansion came out, Cylons win quite a lot of games to start with. The best Human strategies, and how to counter the games pressure, take time to lear. As player experience grows, the Humans begin to win a little more often than the Cylons, and the Cylons have to start really figuring out how to leverage any advantage out of shock betrayal turns, and how to adapt their play to the flow of the individual game. The game is so much more fun at this point, for both sides.

We don't deserve Ben, I miss him, but I guess being a human library and stream is exhausting, instead we get budget Ben(breeh) and very annoying cool dumb guy Daltos

The expanses really make the cylons more fun.

Did they really play all the mechanics properly? The expansions just seem to add heaps of complexity and things that players need to do making it impossible for them to win, the base game kinda seems more fun

2:41:50 So, with that rule in mind, they really just messed themselves up thanks to that rule misunderstanding. It _did_ seem wrong somehow, as they had civ ships in every space area.

I love watching this game but people acting like primarily Rythian and Daltos in this is so frustrating. If you're new to a game AND new to using expansions and say that a game is difficult - maybe you're just not good at it yet?! Then I understand Daltos hasn't watched the show but in the previous games, Rythian explained "Thematic this, thematic that from the TV Show" to OTHERS but then in this third game he's saying it's frustrating because "it seems like we were stuck fixing things since the first turn." I thought you had watched the show?? There's a reason this game was in the top 20 of ALL of BoardGameGeek for like...15 years??? for best Thematic game. If it were easy, you'd just win a lot and THEN you'd complain if you're a Cylon saying they can never win. The reason the game is so timeless is because it's difficult and it takes working together to pull out a win, you won't get there with 1 base game play and 1 of ALL expansions play. Try playing an absolute new genre of ANY video game and tell me you're the best ever at it from Day 1..you just won't be. In all 3 games, I didn't see much intuitive playing other than "Sure, I'll move here and can play X card" there was like 2 people's turns among all 3 games I would see as an actual "smart" move so obviously they just either 1) Are new to the game 2) Aren't very interested in the game or 3) Are just playing casually so obviously a difficult game will be....difficult... That's totally cool, but for people to slag off the game as being dumb, then Daltos agreeing and why he never plays it anymore, etc etc. Meanwhile he constantly didn't know rules that are base rules everyone should know, played hyper aggressive without thinking as usual, etc just ruins the experience imo. I also missed Ben in this game because he's patient enough and level-headed to explain why things happen and give tips no matter if he's a Cylon or not. He's incredibly helpful and acts how I attempt to act when I teach people games. It's hella exhausting though so I understand why he might've skipped out on jumping from Base Game BSG to literally a FULL ON expansions game. I would've maybe added 1 new Expansion at a time so people can learn to effectively play the aspects of each new expansions 1 at a time.

About an hour in and [spoilers] goes full undercover cylon tries to get 2 civ ships destroyed and frak up the jump- ends up saving those 2 ships and getting a distance 3 jump 🤣 5 minutes later: Gets someone executed

Daltos as the host was just the worst. Ben sucks at games but he's a true gamer and a good host.

"according to google theres 5k people" Actually thats wrong yes during the first war BSG did house 5k personnel but after the war it became no more then 3k and due to its decommissioning they were basically running a skeleton crew since the first ep so would be far less.

Out of all of these table top games/strategy games that Daltos plays in, he just seems so toxic to the environment and people he plays with. I understand that he has to play against the other players at times, but he just seems to get too personal when it comes to being competitive. Really just bring the vibe down. Side note: why does he have so much beef with Rythian?

Imagine if you use rolled dice secretly and only revealed if it was a hit, but they had to trust if you say it failed. Would make cylon pilots pretty fun but scary

Vipers cannot Shoot then Move. They get 1 Move, then 1 Action. The Action itself can be a Move, but the Move cannot be an Action. Edit - Duncan finds the rule at about 2 hour mark.

3:11:10 , An idea to improve this, for single player games like FTL you could have 2 people (at random?) play the games at the same time while everyone that isnt playing is watching in a discord call, so they get the commentary and game play while keeping them isolated for the actual game.

Okay, three games in a row and the humans don't win. Gotta love that the there are even more rules to help the Cylons "WIN". This game has gone in to my never buy as this is a horribly unbalanced.
