Fantastic video! I wish more people would do this here on YT. What if more of that happened in 2024?? 🎉 I love Salt New York. I get Merit makeup type vibes from Salt and love the pan format in a palette. I love the finger-friendly application of this type of makeup. My face shows makeup quickly; it doesn’t take much at all for me to look like I’m wearing makeup so this type of sheer makeup is perfect for me. I understand why some don’t like the sheer opacity, especially if they want the makeup to really show and/or their face can take a lot. I am also a huge Hannah fan! I haven’t seen this video of hers yet so I will go do that. I’ve found that I am able to dupe all the lipsticks and oils with my classic Revlon lipsticks; usually with a combo of two, and Revlon glosses. I actually like combining shades because I will then actually use up what I have! For example, Revlon Mink is very brown (Hannah compares this shade in her Merit lipstick video!); Mink with Rum Rasin gets me very close to Merit 1990. I also have the benefit of making it more berry or brown since I’m combining two shades. Mink is a shade I would never use up on its own as it’s too brown for me. I found that Ganache combined with cocoa from Salt New York is a perfect Mood dupe (I have Mood!) I’m getting more satisfaction now from using up what I have than I am from clicking “checkout” for new makeup!
