Timothy might be weak in belief so until beliefs completely where God can heal he will take medicine. The reason why paul said he has thorn is because sometimes he goes weak in flesh, paul is the New Testament version of DAVID, that's why sometimes he did not heal some of them. All disciples and apostles are not JESUS, they are not perfect but God used them mighty, There are a lot of things which you and I do not know about the Kingdom of heaven, if today's preacher has the gift of healing they might not be using according to God's will.
