We enjoyed testing of expandable batons and we wanted more... So we tried to destroy two compact expandable batons: ASP from the U.S. and ESP from the Czech Republic. This video shows results of our second test.
Isn't it a bit cheeky that kind of 'competition', letting the leightweight aluminium version of the ASP baton challenge towards a steel made baton? In every desctiption of the ASP leightweight there is advisory that this product was made to spare as much wight as possible and IS NOT comparable to the hardiness of a classic ASP. There must be reason you forgot to tell and to compare the weight of both products. ;) Next time try a (4140) steel made ASP or a classic Monadnock baton made of 4130 aircraft-steel and compare it to your cheap but expensive ESP baton. I bet the result of this competition wont be as 'obvius' as this video tries to pretend.
I had an Monadnock: worst, overprized shit ever! ESP rules. No one can beat ESP's Quality for that prizes. "cheap but expensive ESP baton"-what the hell are you talking for shit?!
Der Schwarzekanal check the other comparison video on this channel, there are the batons you're talking about and the result was the same. Monadnock asp and S&W are bullshit.
Are you kidding? Sorry, but in the other video there is exactly the same comparison: ESP-product compared to partially carbon versions of ASP, and as you can see in the videos itself: "Monadnoch Ultralite Friction Lock Baton" What do you think does "ultralite" mean? Those batons are made for one-time, constructed with priority on maximaum reduction of weight. If you want a stetement about the maximum durability of ASP and Monadnock products, you should check out it's service batons, fieldes all over the world for everyday use by security forces. You are welcome...
Der Schwarzekanal I paid over 200 bucks for a monadnock autolock and the thing doesnt work.I pay less than 60 bucks for an esp and it saved me 3 times yet. The esp is also used by police forces all over the world, who don't want to spend over 200 bucks for one stick, that then maybe work or not. When I pay for gear I expect that it work, specially when I pay over 200 bucks.
I have never met anyone that compares to a piece of concrete.. so beating the crap out of a concrete slab just to tell if a stick keeps working or not does not mean too much.. if all anyone is using these for is for protection then they all passed
