Duracell Flashlight Mod - Remove Strobe 

hi, loved your video. its great that you know about circuit boards this way, Can you please make a video on the fact that some Duracell flashlights draw current while they are off and drain batteries ? and which ones do that and which ones don't ? and is there a fix ?

Sad that you couldn't get both to turn on, that would be a great compromise. Ideally the strobe would just be removed from the toggle so the different brightnesses would still work but the really dumb feature would not interrupt while switching between them. Seriously, what were they thinking?

Man, please, PLEASE help me. I got three big ass headlights that cost me over 1000 USD that have this same problem. Every time it turns on, it switches between steady and strobe. Problem is, these are sealed headlights, I CANT GET TO THE CIRCUIT BOARD WITHOUT RUINING THEM. Do you have any ideas on what I can do? Something with relays, perhaps, so I can avoid having to play with my lights to get them to shine steady? Please, I’m begging you.

I've been collecting and modifying flashlights for quite a while now. It's quite unfortunate that the end consumers have to do such mods on these consumer-grade lights in order to get rid of utterly useless features and get them to function like what we want. If you are going to implement flashy modes on a flashlight at LEAST do it in a way where it is hidden and isn't going to annoy the user like to long press the button for a few seconds or quickly press it 4 times etc. Also there's no reason to implement flashy modes on literally everything with a light. You'd laugh if i was to tell you what things I've found with these stupid flashy modes. They'll put them on anything wit an LED. They are willing to put them on s*x toys if they could 🤣 In the end you are far better buying a proper flashlight from a brand like sofirn wurkkos or acebeam. Even olight is a good option but is more expensive for no reason. I personally don't like these consumer-grade consumer targeted flashlights but they have their uses i guess.
