Hi Andrej, great flying as usual, my Excalibur doesn't sound like that, mate that's cool, would you share with me how you make your planes sound like that, I've tried different things on my wings but no success, thankyou and keep the great vids coming, all the best Andy..
Hi, sorry for the late reply. My Excalibur is as it comes from the box. It sound good because I fly fast and mostly because I use this (not so handy) camera setup: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tM2Jm36XRto.html Thanks for watching :)
Well, THAT certainly woke me up! Great reflexes! Very nice how you were able to record the flight sounds without getting any wind noise on the microphone. Was it a calm day, or do you have a special technique? I used to do a bit of slope soaring with sleek carbon/composite gliders (just over 13' span). They looked and sounded beautiful - I loved the 'clean' sound as they cut the air - but I found recording the whistle in a 15 or 20mph breeze almost impossible. Probably needed all sorts of fluffy microphone shields and weird parabolic devices (and a lot more skill)... But then I'd have had both hands full and wouldn't be able to fly. ;-) Whatever. This is a terrific video - thanks for uploading!
Wow have never seen anything like that before. Nice flying and also great camera work. I couldn't see if you had folding props on them or not, and if not did you just use slope soaring to keep them going? Happy Flying
Hi, I am using this spinner/prop combo: goo.gl/13AY5S goo.gl/RxBJvL You get much more power out of this motor with this upgrade. I wouldn't use the stock plastic prop adapter/spinner when using the upgraded prop - safety! I am using a Nanotech 45-90C 4s 2200 and a Turnigy Graphene 65C 4s 2200 mAh lipos.
I assume you are flying the Excal on 4S, and the Cheetah on 3s? I have an Excal - and it's great. But I want something faster. I see the Cheetah R PNP is currently on sale for €240. Is it a good upgrade over the Excal? (and is that a good/great price?)I would want to go 4S, since that is mostly what I have... I would want significantly more speed though if I were to bother getting one. Thanks.
Hi, the Cheetah R is faster, has less air drag and a nice whistle sound. At the beginning I was flying with a 3s 2650mAh Lipo but now I am flying with a 4s 2200mAh 45-90C Nanotech lipos with the stock motor and plastic propeller blades from Lanyu-Volantex series of gliders - I think that they are 10x6 size blades. Cheetah is superior compared to the Excalibur which is a foamy. The only downside of the Cheetah compared to the Excalibur is that the Cheetah is more fragile, mainly the fuselage.
