Captain Blaz has got some solid videography skills for an amateur! He got many great shots of that beautiful and scaly BF-109 Emil. HK is to be commended for creating such a nice Durafly produce; my Mark Vb Spitfire is a real sight to behold and is mostly flaw free, although I wish the gear and motor mounts were made from sterner stuff.
If Hobbyking gives you a plane to show it to the world, they have confidence in their product. Everyone knows that you are honest and do not hide anything, fly with it as it is. Also with the risk of bad luck. Real Life RC. This is the success of your format. And it seems at touchdown on your horsetrack that this beautiful plane is solid. In my opinion It should have been a bit bigger.. I saw the Hobbyking Product Video and they did very well with those historical recordings. It’s a beautiful scale plane with nice LED lighting.
Like you said Louis. We show it all. And I have told them that if they would made this baby with 1.4 or 1.5m wingspan that then this would be ultimate BF109 to buy. But for now this will do and I must say that this plane is really very beautiful and once in the air very easy to handle. And here you can see that we really dont edit anything. It would be good that we can show the viewers perfect takeoff and landing, but it wasnt. It was enormous pressure for me this time becouse we even didnt know where to fly this plane. There was no way to do this on our runway and we just cant find some good place with asphalt. And this track was very smooth just the day before this filming. And then we came and saw all the holes. But we just had to film it becouse I was thinking that they will release the plane at the end of december. And what to do if I had broken the propeller? And I didnt have any instruction manual for this baby.... But at least the bird is still in one piece and we will fly it for the second filming soon. I dont think that after this we will get another plane, but hey, at least for once in my life I was flying free plane and Iam happy about that. So stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
I just ordered one of these..my favourite warbird, glad to see durafly have put spars down the fuselage it adds a lot of strength, i put 6 cf rods from nose to tail and 3 from wingtip to wingtip in my fms p40b and its practically indestructible. It bounces lol
Hey T. Like you said. And this baby is really great. You just need good runway and its perfect warbird. Iam loving it. Oh yeah... Greetings from Slovenia, Robert
I thought the 109 was going in on take off, my thumbs were going for the sticks! nice save pilot Robert! Another great video and top camera work from captain Blaz
Me too B. I almoust craped my pants watcing the plane jumping like that. But the bird is in one piece and we will fly it again. Oh yeah... Cheers, Robert
Thanks M. And at least you can understand that it is not easy to do so many maiden flights becouse every plane is different and we just dont have time enough to get use to one plane. We are always like test pilots. But we love it. I just love to do maiden flight no matter what. But this time I was nervous what to tell HK if I brake the propeller or crash the plane. But the bird survived and we will fly it again. Be well and see you soon, Robert
Scary moments on take off with a great save. I thought itr was a goner !!! Well done Pilot Robert. That first slow fly by, after the MAGNIFICENT bomb drop, 'Hey,' with the plane coming toward the camera looked very real. To do so well with such nervous about it was awesome. I definitely want to buy this plane because of yous. WELL DONE
Hey William it was scary as hell at the takeoff. The plane jumped in the hole and didnt have enough speed yet. But once in the air it was great. And like you said on those two flybys it really looked like a real plane. I wish that I have done more low flybys but but for the first time in my life I was really nervous. And this was our first time on horse tracks. I didnt know the area and I wasnt comfortable... But the bird is in one piece and ready for the second flight. This time I will really enjoy it. Be well and see you soon, Robert
You did a fantastic job. You saved the plane and showed us all a supurb 109. No-one could have done a better 'inspirational' video of this plane. I think Hobbyking should adopt you guys as their promotions team
I didnt expected that to survive on that take off with those " horseholes" , great work Pilot Robert , it flies on rails, and Captain blaz , i salute you on your great camera work. Top job !!!!!
Oh Sean, it was scray as hell at that takeoff, this time I was really nervous. What would we post if I have broken the propeller? But it went OK and the baby will be in the air again for the second video. Stay well and see you soon, Robert
Oh my friends, you had my heart beating like hell with that take off and thank God you saved it beautifully. Great maiden with the prop still in one piece.....OH YEAH..!!! Lovely scale warbird from Hobbyking which might be the next new plane in my hanger. Good job guys.
Thanks D. Can you imagine that I have broked the prop. What would we post? I will tell the truth that this time I was really nervous. And it was our first flight here on horse tracks. I really didnt know what to expect. But the bird is still in one piece and it will be in the air again for the second video. Oh yeah... Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
I got a HK Spitfire and it looked really great but my problem I experienced was that only 2 of the 6 servos installed worked out of the box. Haven't had the chance to replace them yet but I am looking forward to flying it. I might wind up buying the Slow Poke but if I do and the servos don't work on that then me and Hobby King are divorced.
Awesome flight Pilot Rob! What a beautiful warbird! And congrats to you guys for reviewing the plane first in Europe. Well done guys! Look forward to a second flight. Cheers, Jase ;)
Thanks Jase. There were times when I thought that I have lost the plane but it all ended well. And even more interesting ;) And I cant wait for the second flight too but we just cant find time. But we will. Soon... Cheers, Robert
Man that thing looks great! Loved the bomb drop Robert.Capt.Blaz great job on the camera, and can't wait to see you take a turn at flying that beautiful warbird!!Cheers,Don
Thanks Mike. It was full of holes but we just couldnt find another place to test this plane. It was scary but the bird is in one piece and ready for the second flight. Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Nice recovery on launch! 109 all seem to vier to left when see there vids . ! Every one say right rudder. I'm a noob and been making craters ( . Think my next crater will be with this beauty!)
Lovely scale flying and great camera work as usual .. u did the channel proud .. U sold me on it .. will be ordering one .. very well done chaps .. regards from Kent UK ..
Jeff, you will love it. Even just assembling this baby is such a joy. Just find good runway and enjoy. Iam loving this baby. Loving it... Big salute to UK from Slovenia, Robert
I have the same model, I bought a few days ago, everybody has a problem with the first start, which is probably because the chassis is very close to each other, just in case, I put the pipes and carbon rods in the wing, for stiffening and strengthening the structure , looking at the flight of this model, I have the impression that it is not too fast, would like more speed,, personally, all models of fighter aircraft, I fly with a 75 -100% throttle - they love it a good recommendation of this model
Like you said L. It was shity takeoff and landing but once in the air this bird is just great. And maybe like this it is more interesting to watch ;) Be well and see you soon, robert
I thought I would mention to you guys that the real bf109 had a problem with the way the landing gear was designed that if you had too much throttle on tail lift it would pull to the left and crash. I noticed you have that problem and wondered if that was the cause it if it was just a trimming issue.
great flight pilot robert and a great plane i love the me 109e watched your unboxing and had the plane ordered before the video finished .OH YEAH..!!! captain blaz you did a great job on the bomb drop and filming the flight as usual. i look forward to your next unboxing and flying video i salute you both on a great job and fantastic channel keep up the great work guys. regards from england.
Thanks MIck for such kind words. This flight was really scary but at least the bird survived to see another day. Oh yeah... Big salute to England from Slovenia, Robert
loved the presentation. very humorous. I ordered one to fly. Could you please tell me your estimated runway length needed to take off? i'm building a portable runway to transport as many of my locations I can fly here in Colorado, USA are very bumpy. You're great humor and relaxed nature influenced my purchase and reminded me what I missed about touring through Slovenia.
I was nervous for you my brother, but it turned out just perfect and for every plane that hobby king sends you I will buy that model from hobby king. This is a great video guys
Thanks Tim a lot. This flight was really scary for me. What to tell HK if I had broken the propeller or crashed the plane? But the bird survived and it looks really awesome in the air. Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Now that the Flightline P-38 build and upgraded retracts is completed, this is the next plane I plan to buy. I don’t fly any of these planes, I just build and bind. Cuts down on the stress and the amount of CA and packing tape purchases.
Thanks S. It was scary as hell but at least the bird is still in one piece and will fly again for the second filming. Oh yeah... Big salute from Slovenia and see you soon, robert
NICE flight Robert. that take off was scary shit but recovered from it with some steady nerves. if I was there I would have chased you with my 1100 mm P-51 mustang. it would have been awesome. nice video of guys 😎
Thanks Roy. It was really crazy takeoff but at least the bird is still in one piece. And it would look awesome with you flying your P51 at the same time. Oh yeah... Be well and see you soon, Robert
Oh Attila, this was the scariest flight in my life. The pressure was crazy when I realized that we have just one prop and we didnt even know where to film this. Our runway was out of the question for this small wheels. But the bird is still in one piece and ready for the second flight. Cheers, Robert
Oh I can imagine. With that scary takeoff I would have shit my pants:) We are lucky because there was a road finisher nearby our runway and we payed him 50 euros to flatten the whole area. He even had a shaker in the machine, the earth was shaking when he went over the bumps.
Thanks John for such kind words but I really dont think that that will ever happen... If you think that we have by now over 400000 viewes but just 2600 subscribers... But it doesnt matter. We didnt start filming this for geting subscribers but to show the world how much fun this hobby really is. And to tell the truth ofcourse... I think that you like us and our way of filming or hate us... But becouse of this great hobby we got so many good friends all over the world and we have the best subscribers on RU-vid. The best... So stay well my friend and see you soon. There is a lot to come. And this year we will show and test a few nitro babies as well. Oh yeah... Greetings from Slovenia, Robert
Oh Mat, like you said. The takeoff was just crazy, but once in the air this baby is great, great flyer and so easy to handle. And then you have to land also ;) But the bird is still in one piece and it will be in the air again. Be well and see you soon, Robert
Haha! Beautiful plane! very nice, another good durafly model, it looked great in the air! I think you were flying at near stall speed for most of the vid! I would be more confident with this model knowing it has a decent esc in it, HEY for an abandoned horse track there are many hoof prints!! *-) Great plane congrats for getting a freeby off HK, you two Expert Amateurs deserve it just for being so fun loving! thanks for sharing I love it, great vid, and HEY where's Blaz's bike! :-D
Thanks R. It was really crazy this time. And this track is not totaly abandoned. They do train horses here but not often. And they had to do it just the day before we filmed this video.... Cheers, Robert
Oj, were are you guys flying? My wife and I would like to find other flyers in Slovenia. It's only the 2 of us that fly alone and don't know any other flyers around.
Thanks George, but this time it was really crazy. So much pressure but at least the bird is in one piece and we will film the second flight. Be well and see you soon, Robert
Pilot Robert and captain Blaz..... great video. Love the comments but next time do not put it in the hole! My friend and I just got the same plane but due to full blown winter here in Chicago we did not have chance to fly this baby ✈️. Good job fellow pilots and captains. Did you fly it on bigger battery?
Hey O, thanks for stopping by here. We just cant find some good place to fly our planes with small wheels. But this was just great. I love this plane but it is still waiting for the second flight. And I was flying this with 2200mAh 4S baterrie. I just cant wait for the spring to come... Stay well and big salute from Slovenia. And good luck with your baby and happy landing. Oh yeah... Cheers, Robert
hello captain robert i love your videos theyre very informative and funny. i just wonder when you set up the plane did you do anything else to the plane other than what it said in the manual? i have durafly bf109 too awesome plane but yours seems to fly much more steady. thanks from usa! -ed
Hey Eddy. I seted this baby without manual and it flyies perfect. I think that I have told here my settings. And if you want steady plane you must check if you need expo. You will know that if you move your aileros left to the right. If the elevator is also moving a little with ailerons then you need to set expo and the bird will fly smoothly. Its like this, the smaller the plane the more expo I use. Many times I fly planes just with expo all arround. I dont even set travels. But you must remeber that you still have full travels just a little later. And the most important thing is always CG. Like I always say, its better to have a little nose heavy plane then tail heavy. Tail heavy means a lot of trouble in the air. I hope that you got some good information from me. Cheers my friend, Robert
Cantiain Robert and Blaz are the best! Greating's from Hungary! I hope we will flying together once. God Bless Captain Blaz And Captain Robert! - Robert from Hungary
Hey Robert. Good to see you here. And thanks for such kind words. We got visit last year from Hungary. Attila visited us and we had some good time together. So if you visit our country you must visit us as well. Oh yeah.... Greetings from Slovenia and see you soon, Robert
Oh yeah M. You will love it. Once in the air its really amazing flyer. But be careful at the takeoff. Dont be to quick like I was. Have fun with your new bird my friend and good luck on your maiden... Cheers, Robert
I'd find a field with a lot of really long grass in it alongside a quiet road or something for take-offs & practice approaches with belly landings before getting onto landing on wheels. The real *109* was notoriously dangerous to take off & land & claimed the lives of many German pilots....😕
Hey Ernie, thanks. It very good place and Iam loving it. It was very smooth just two days before we went filming this and on the day of filming this... But the bird is in one piece and we will fly it again. Be well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Well oh yeah 6, every plane has the G spot and it is easier to find it then at home ;) Just kidding... But this plane is really great and Iam loving it. Its even more fun with skis. Oh yeah... Big salute to USA and see you soon, Robert
The best that we could considering all. It was not perfect but that is the true life of a modeller. But the bird survived and it will be in the air again. Oh yeah... Cheers, Robert
The scariest flight of my life. And all that just becouse we had only one propeller and once chance to film something good. But hey, the bird is still in one piece and we can now all se the truth ;) Cheers, robert
Your nerves guys, they come through on the camera.!! I get it ..!! .Especially one prop.! Yike!... Capt. Blaz... I think I feel the camera move with your nervous heartbeat and breath of Fu...c.. **.!! You guys do carry a great responsibility and trust with HobbyKing most deservingly so.. But they have confidence in you either way it would come out.. Great for you! (and us to watch) And true, dogfight would be fun.. But who would be behind the camera? And the third pilot? Capt. Christian?
Great review nice flight and Blaz your right it needs more throttle on tske off its like my bearcat ..great job guys Blaz you should have filmed in the watch tower..like F- troop..lol if u remember that *****talk soon...K
Hey Kevin. This was just crazy. The bird jumped on the hole and didnt have enough speed yet. I almoust craped my pants. and can you imagine that I have broked the prop. What to show to HK then... But the bird survived and Iam loving it. Cant wait for the second more relaxed flying... Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
HEY Robert you did a great job ***** I just came home from the Hill with Roman and someone ripped up the air field with a truck this is the third time just horrible major ruds thank god for the Airport...be well my good friend...K
Didn't get a good view on those flaps and trust me you HAVE a great camera man, Just noticing, the flaps did NOT slow that thing down very much, seemed a tad speedy for an old mans hands like mine!!!!!
Hey C. I only deployed takeoff flaps for landing. I didnt want to tip stall the plane on this flight. The takeoff was scary enough ;) We will try and test that on the second more relaxed flight. Be well and see you soon, Robert
Oh yeah N. You will love it. Just find better runway than we did. But hey, the bird survived and that is the most important thing ;) Stay well and see you soon, Robert
This is the way to go ,take a warbird to the track and if that damn horse turns up give him the front canon OH YEAH, also i liked the comment myself and captain Blaz are the only ones in Europe to be flying this plane, i think if the skys where full of 109 s , no we wont go there ,the 109, spitfire ,hurricane , mustang are beautiful planes in their own right. mind you landing on that loose gravel dicey nice plane
It was just crazy this time. We just couldnt find any other place to try this bird. It was scary at the takeoff but once in the air its just perfect flyer. Iam loving it and I cant wait for the second more relaxing flight ;) Cheers, robert
Thanks Doni. This time it was crazy. Just one step from disaster ;) But the bird survived and it was great. Another proof how true RC world really looks like ;) Cheers, robert
Like you said Jake. It was scary but the bird is still in one piece. And now you can really see that we dont edit anything... And I think that I will get that Spitfire too... Cheers, Robert
Oh yeah George. even the takeoff is not for the history, but it was fun and this is the real thing. No editing. Not perfect but good enough ;) At least the bird is still in one piece and ready for the second flight... Be well and see you soon, Robert
Another great video from my favorite RC reviewers! Now the plane, I've never been a big fan of this type of plane, but this one looks pretty nice. I love the bomb. It did sound a little underpowered, what do you think of the power level? Oh, and Blaz, watch the language, I know it's tough to do sometimes, but I like sharing your videos with my young kids, thanks!
Hey David. This baby has enough power, I just wasnt flying with full throtle. But once in the air this bird is really like a trainer plane. We still have to film the second flight like we always do with every plane. We just cant find time... Be well and see you soon, Robert
Well I really dont know that M. They have contacted me after watching our channel for quite avile. They said that they love our way of filming and if we would like to do some reviewes for them. I dont know if we will get another plane again, but at least for once we were flying free plane. But let me tell you that it is not easy. Iam never nervous on maiden flights but this time it was crazy becouse you must film something good and you must not crash the plane or even broke the propeller since you dont have any spare parts. But we had fun and that is the point of this great, great hobby. I wish you all the best and see you soon. Greetings from Slovenia, Robert
It wasnt perfect but thats the way it is. This is the truth. One plane, one propeller and one chance to film something. It was scary but at least the bird is in one piece and we will fly it again. Oh yeah... Be well and see you soon, Robert
It was very thrilling flying here but it was great at the end. And this baby is great. I will trade it tomorrow for Kyosho Spitfire. Nitro. Oh yeah... Cheers my friend, Robert
You said maiden video will be tomorrow 😂. Like all German planes, take offs and landings are difficult, but once in the air these planes are awesome flyers.
It really awesome little warbird. And such a joy flying it. Cant wait for the second flight but we just dont have time now... Be well my friend and see you soon, Robert
LOL, the first time I ever seen you boys NERVOUS!!! HA HAAAAAAAA!!! But you did it...Hey, do they have any Schools with an asphalt track around the field like in the US? Or No...
Thanks Steven. It was crazy as hell. And I was really nervous this time. We just couldnt find another place. Asphalt would be great but there is no such place here that we can use. We tried with Trojan and F18 but you saw what happened there and our grass runway has even more holes that this horse track. If we had good runway with grass and asphalt that would be our dream come true. Can you imagine how many perfect landings would we have then. But hey this is the true life of RC lover. Oh yeah... Be well and see you soon, Robert
Thanks Phil. It was scary movie but it ended well. At least the bird is still in one piece and will fly again. Oh yeah... Be well and see you soon, robert
One piece is good. You guys and putting things in holes and G spots. You guys need to come and visit me in America and I will take you out with me so we can find you guys a couple of lovely women. You guys really need to get a women to go home with you. You to Capt. Blas
Forget this horse-racetrack it is a terrible base for take-off / landing. If you can set a bit of an asphalt on your meadow, it will be perfect. Regards from Dalmatia.
Robert Petrinčič I salute you and your family, thank you for replying, I'm disabled so watching you two fly is so much fun , I don't get out as much anymore, . Eflight bear huh,? Herd it Flys nice ,. Seen the nitro one in hobby shop prob 15 or 20 years ago dam I'm old , wish I could ave gotten it then , that Sato,90surpas,looked a nice fit ,.might need reinforcing in wing and fuse,in places I herd , always loved the gold paint ,
Thank you Joe for your support. And we are really happy that you enjoy spending your time here with us. You know we love planes and flying so much... And we will assemble that awesoem Rare bear, but now I have so many planes ready for maiden flights. I think it will have to wait a little. But like I said this year we will have a lot of fun and tests. Oh yeah... So big salute to you from Slovenia, stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
:-) Is anybody out there whos able to send Robert n the Captain a thimble drome plane with a psychotic cox inside ? Im very interested how nervous the funny cameraArt nd fly performance of this two very nice guys will be :-)
Hey X. We have the flying triangle with Rossi baby on waiting for the maiden flight. It will go almoust 300km/h. We are just wondering who will do the maiden flight. Or the maiden crash ;) Cheers, Robert
Ya ! Your flying triangle is it a Delta Flyer ? And you will fly it in your bermuda triangle with 300km/h ? Yessss - fly the shit out of this experimental ! i MUST see this ! Salut X
