I like how some people are that nice to do that it makes me happy to see that alot of people don't realize how important semi drivers are to this world and how much we needed them and people really don't care about semi drivers
Not taking anything away from truck drivers, but no one every gives credit to the railroaders, or sailors. Most of this county's economy travels over the railroads and no one ever talks about that.
Man I’ll always be a Cummins guy (have a mega cab 6.7 right now) but ill never deny how fucking badass those v8 diesels sound. A dmax full tilt like that has to be the greatest sound in the world.
Okay, I’ve been watching these ‘truck pulls semi’ videos for about 30 minutes now. Idk, The trucks are great, but I’m more impressed by the dang strap holding them together!
I remember as a kid back around 1969 my grandpa pulled a stuck 1960 Peterbuilt Tow truck out of a ditch ..with his 1949 International harvester 3/4 ton pickup with a inline 6 cylinder "Granny" gear 4 on the floor...
if you can afford it, most hardware stores sell RECOVERY straps for around $40. if you're really into this, then spend your birthday money on a kinetic rope. these tow straps are junk and make a simple job MUCH harder.
Hurricane 863 majority of the nicest trucks are the older ones, LBZ duramax, LLY duramax, 12 valve 5.9 cummins, 24 valve 5.9 cummins, 6.0 powerstroke, many more
Yeah trucks were made to work, people think letting your truck idle forever is cool, even in a diesel. Longevity, you can gunk up your engine. Open throttle is actually good time to time. Motorcycles have to do it also, something about the oil having to burn old shix off or something, correct me if Im wrong.
I am a Ram guy but that's impressive!! You can tell that Duramax was tuned and not stock. For you Duramax guys and gals the 2023 Duramax will be the 1st diesel to break 500 horsepower in a pickup truck. That's right 505 horsepower and 1085 foot lbs. of torque. That's 30 more than Ford and it kills me to say it but 85 more than the Ram.
Semi wasn’t even spinning a tire letting pickup do all the work. Must be shitty ass truck driver. Semi driver would’ve asked me to pull him out I’d have said sucks to be you get your ass out and throw chains. I’ve been driving semi for 20 years and never once had a 4x4 pull me out. Either never got myself in that situation or threw chains. I didn’t want the liability of semi getting damaged or the pickup pulling it.
Can't believe that work 😂 I do believe there was a bumper to bumper love tap... right before the video cut. That was awesome 👏 straight up good driving skills by buddy in the pick up
@@floridianrailauto9032 ....chevy fan. Was in hurry, ....now my truck will pull that overpriced pickup ,,,,,up a hill backwards with its 4wheel diggin in.........."mildred" my duece and a half.
I'm a dodge Guy, but fords & Chevy's are just as reliable. I have no bias towards the brands but I've finally found the opportunity to do just what this Duramax did! But mines a gas job lol
Ya that f250 drive by n said there’s no way I could ever pull that truck out! Then there’s the dodge stuck on the snow! Took a REAL truck to pull this driver out! Good job Mr.Bow tie! Hammer down even if the ferd dunce would have tried to pull the truck out the Chevy would have two more trucks to pull out!
Ortiz Racing #7 haha thank god for Chinese engineering that made that dura Max possible. And that Allison that Chevy can’t make sure works good with that carcass of a pick-up hahaha
@@michealortiz3350 They are definitely not the best engine i can name at least 8 main things iv'e had to fix in those engines, there cheap and mass produced. yes there a good engine but they are a serious distance away from the best, cummins has the some of the best modern style engines that's why multiple companies use them and the're still some powerstroke engines that better but they usually cost more so the best option is cummins.
@@thesouthernangler8700 cumapart is far from the best you listed 8 thing wrong with the Duramax I would ask you to do the same for a Ford and Dodge but I don't want to read all day so just list the good things about them so the list is shorter Dodge is very bad with tranny's Ford's is no better both Ford and Dodge. Use a gas tranny Duramax is the only diesel with a diesel tranny Ford 6.0 and Ford 6.4 has a life span from Ford of 210,000 not many miles for a truck that cost more then a house ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YB2A5eM6HpA.html Just saying and right now our local Chevy deal is offering a million mile power train warranty very hard to bet
The truck-driver with forgetfulness 00:00 - 1:30 Truck driver: "Damn I missed something" 01:31 "Oh damn, the break" 01:32 02:35 "oh without breaking it works" 02:35 - 02:41 "the crash" "Damn how to stop my truck?"
I dont like pick up trucks, just because there is no use for them where i live. But damn, i do like them because of stuff like this. Duramax or any other truck, i dont care. If you can pull a loaded semi out of the snow, even tho with a couple of tries, you get my respect. I love these kinds of videos
A two wheel drive GMC. Had nothing to do with Duramax, but the mad driver skills of the driver spinning his two tires until the semi driver realized he had the air brake on.
It's amazing what some of these trucks can do. My dad pulled his Mack truck with a low boy trailer loaded with an excavator up a snowy hill one day during a bad blizzard with his F250 super duty, Mack was spinning and couldn't make the hill so he got out, hooked his chains up got back in and said "watch this" I had serious doubts but the crazy bastard actually succeeded. Never doubt a 4x4 diesel with a skilled driver.
I own 3 Ford trucks 85 Ford f250 351 Windsor 4 barrel 4x4 an 01 Ford f250 7.3 turbo diesel 4x4 has 87 thousands miles an 83 Ford f250 inside 6 granny 4 speed pos rear with million an a half miles on it but the only thing I don't like about Chevy or Dodge is their not 4 wheel drive their three wheel drive as you can see video but hey it pulled it good job surprised it didn't pop u joints as cold as they were I've did it before full of firewood pulling a tree down an still was getting it pulling 60 ft with front wheels an drove home 25 miles in my 85 duals exhaust its a beast its fixed but need to find rear drive shift my rear yoke is tweeked so can't give it all its got now but still put it on it tho ....
@@deputy2717 depends on which one it is, they are good transmissions but that thing isn’t stock and by the front end it looks like it would have the 4 speed
HELPS PULL out, not pulls out. The semi was going the whole time also. Kinda like saying 2 kids that helped when my car was stuck in snow actually PUSHED the car, they HELPED get it going. Big difference.
Guy in the truck didn’t know what he was doing needed to back up more to get momentum and when he finally did back up some more got the truck out. Clean asf tho
Why would y’all do a yank-pull vs just driving out to the full extent of the tow rope and then coordinating the joint movement forward? Usually in these snow/ice loss of traction situations, it’s just a matter of sustained effort and additional “umphif” to regain traction on the stuck vehicle…(+35 yrs residing in the central and western NYS snowbelt regions…)
Hell I did that exact same thing with a 00 cheroke Xj 4.0 of course I was on 38's and fully locked diffs. Had to keep yanking him but got him out. It was funny people was stopping and taking video and pics like this.
Little tip for you city Boys that uses their 3/4 - 1-ton grocery getter to pull people out in the snow........air down, increase footprint, an keep steady power to the ground.
Lol I seen a picture only it was funny as hell it said powerstoke 7.3 replace oil and filter every 3000 miles 6.0 replace every 5000 mile 6.4 fuck it the oil and filter can Outlast the engine lmao
@@hardtimefarms9270 that's hilarious, but I'm not shiting you my friend had a 2010 f350 beautiful truck motor went after 70,000 something he bought a new motor it went after like 40,000. But the truck was imaculant after 2 engines. But between the 2 engines he had like 110,000 😂🤣 on the body no joke
@@hardtimefarms9270 yes sir I know but I've never seen a 6.7 have any issues like that. I want a diesel so bad but I'm super scared. But I can say my 2013 eco boost is a tank for a half ton I've pulled my ford 3550 backhoe with it 4 times bumper mount trailer about 40 miles one way it was stupid but it's still in one piece and have over 200,000 on it. But I'm looking at a new f350 7.3 I'm not worried about fuel savings and I seen itll tow 17,000 or 18,000 gooseneck. What rig do you have
@@bryanblood7063 I have a 06 Duramax lbz it's the most sought after diesel on the plant for alot of reasons I can tell you this for a fact on my 06 we just pulled a 10,000 lb truck with a 10,000 lb trailer to Oklahoma and you have to keep looking behind you to make sure it's there and got 21 mpg on that trip two guys that work for me has a f350 6.0 powerstoke and man if the rest are like his you couldn't give me one the other guy that works for me has a 6.4 powerstoke 08 f250 and man oh man white smoke all the time and uses oil like crazy and sounds like it's going to die anything another's man I know has a 6.7 and from what I seen from his they are junk his has about 90,000 and has done had heads there's times at 10,000 a pop no think you and as far as Dodge goes Cummins have. There own problems but if you get a Dodge you better buy alot of trannies because they are junk I would go with a Duramax and Allison best setup ever put in a truck
