They are still in shape and relevant, too many years later. I always say that english bands are more professional and dedicated to the music that the bands you see in other countries
I guess you haven't heard of Aussie artists like Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham (before his cancer), Icehouse, or AC-DC for example! (It's not isolated to English bands) I fully agree with your intent though, that there are a few English bands from the 70s/early 80s that are still killing it. Def Leppard is another one.
Man simon lebon!!.. what a singer !. I tried singing this at karaoke one nite.. it wasn't easy !!. Especially the ending! Lol. Absolutely love love duran duran!!.
Wow, how many years since this song was released and their voices still almost the same. I remember used to watch their videos on Mtv when I was young. Love Duran Duran
This song I first heard on an episode of Baywatch, but I didn't know they made it until I purchased Greatest several years later. This says so much to me, and still resonates today. I hope they come back to Cleveland one day.
My absolute favorite DD song. How thoughtful of Simon to mention Ukraine, how we shouldn't push the war to the back of our minds, and dedicate this song to them
Ukraine was bombing Donbas the northern region of their own territory for eight years killing their own people and innocent children and families. Ukraine is a bully.
I love the song too but the truth of the matter is, that tens of thousands of little girls were trafficked illegally out of that country .. which is just one of many reasons why they're being attacked right now .. not to mention all the illegal energy deals made with the Buydunns .. obviously Simon is not aware of that fact .. don't believe the mainstream media
@@jamesmoffet4292 haha I’m just seeing this today (3/11/23) and was so confused at first, like “…huh? What is this guy talking about? Must be an inside joke about the movie, or maybe a nod to Party Down when they had a couple jokes about it in an episode? “… and then I followed the path to your reply to yourself and realized that it was edited at some point
He is Andy Taylor, and he is the original guitarist of Duran Duran. As he and DD were inducted into the RR Hall of Fame last November it was revealed that he has been battling Stage 4 Prostate Cancer - so he can play WTF (whatever the fuck) he wants in my book. And he happens to be a damned good guitar player. How good are you? Maybe try some damned decency.
