Durdle Door is a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth in Dorset, England. It is probably the most famous stone arch anywhere in the world. It was created when the sea pierced through the portland limestone around 10,000 years ago. Durdle Door is formed from a layer of hard limestone standing almost vertically out of the sea. It is now a center of attraction for tourists.
