A Durga Mata idol, installed for Navratri celebrations at the exhibition ground in Nampally, Hyderabad, was vandalised by unknown miscreants. The incident occurred late at night when security was absent. The vandals removed the idol's sari and broke its hand. The police have registered a case and investigations are ongoing. The organisers have expressed concern over the lack of security and the recurring incidents of vandalism during Navratri.
