This is by far the best way I have ever seen an enemy introduced. No orchestra, no ham-fisted cutscene, just you in a dark room wondering why that sound behind you is getting louder.
Theme song for when I'm alone in the woods tightly holding my glock grip while encountering my "long time friend" after hearing horrible disembowelment noises just a minute ago.
I remember when I played this map for the first time. I was confused to see all enemies killed already and then I saw writing on walls and the damn door. That area in this video scared the crap out of me, especially new enemy type.
UNSEEN - E2M2 You're fresh off of fighting more military units after putting down whatever experiments those were, and a drive to a facility That building seemed to be some kind of grainery, armed to the teeth with more crazy gunmen and welders with flamethrowers with as good as an aim as the military units themselves. But why here? Why would that voice calling out to you lead you to some facility? Regardless, something's happened to the town of Dusk and this place seemed to have answers. If not, at least there's clues. You enter the lower levels of the complex, but something's wrong. It's dead silent, and instead of the usual radio chatter and mumbling, you only hear the sounds of steam and the hum of lights. you descend only to find more dead bodies, but what happened? They're all mangled and dismembered - no cultist would be this crazy, right? You pick up the yellow key and hear something get knocked over. What was that? You couldn't help but feel like you're being watched..? You then enter a large room to more mangled corpses and blood everywhere - seemingly drawn towards a yellow gate that reads "ruins". To the left, however, is a warning in blood - "Don't go in the ruins". But there's no other way through, so out the door it is. It's really dark down there - time to turn on the flashlight. Yup, quite the ruins, alright - only the hum of the wind is your company. That lingering feeling of being watched is starting to get to you now. To the left is some kind of mist with a red light at the end. You go down it, noticing cages left and right. What is this place? As you go down the hall to inspect the light, the mist clears up to reveal a large room with a message, again in blood and an even eerier warning: "DON'T TRUST YOUR EYES" Suddenly your flashlight starts to flicker, and you hear breathing- no, panting - from behind, like someone or something is running towards you. Hastily you pick up the keycard, look back and ready your weapons, but you don't see anything. The panting gets louder and louder. You look down and see red, bloody footprints materializing in rapid succession. What did that message say again? You open fire and the horror that stalks finally reveals itself.
@@gUwU47and it's more cool if you read the last line in the transition to the combat part (sorry if I write wrong in English, my English is a little bad)
Basically your soundtrack is shaping up to be the best industrial record in like 15 years. The last minute of this track needs to be 1,000 minutes longer.
I'll be streaming this whole game on Halloween Night when I get off of work! This game has the feel, the atmosphere and of course, the nerve to be called a true "Blast from the past!"
Your double barelled shotgun is ready for combat. Yet again, the darkness wants to destroy your mind and eat your soul. Show them the true meaning of fear! Rip and tear, until it is done!
1:57 Footprints lead where The Faceless walked through the darkest pits where His new breed flocks. A façade of faith under skies of rust, the old truths of death drawing souls toward Dusk. So now...Walk.... Walk with Him... Wear His flesh, and walk with sin... Be possessed by He. Kill what dwells unseen. Prove that they still bleed, and that you are *worthy.*
Not everything must be like old Doom. Quake II also have great ost and it does change pacing and this song reminds mi perticuly of Q2 especialy this raw guitar.
+Krzysztof Jakistam not saying it has to sound like old doom, just that I perfer the more metal songs over this. There's nothing wrong with this song, it's good and it doesn't sound like wubstep like the new doom at least.
