Really good video and I will probably use this in my garage but that table saw... no writhing knife and no push sticks being used. You are brave man Jack.
Great video jack thanks for posting this. Great camera work as we can see the steps to make it and see it in use. I made something similar for my drill press and used hose clamps to mount it to the column. I had to tighten the knobs really tight to get it to hold position and your idea to use the rubber washers was genius.
Just finished my dust collector. I made my own knobs out of a piece of Poplar and threaded them. They work very well. I figured out the measurments and the project came out great, Thanks alot for a real nice dust system.
Jack, I just found your video and I've been looking for something like this for my own little shop here in the UK. This is simply brilliant. Thank you. Tony.
Thanks Jack, when I was just starting, I used your ideas and still have and use them. Thank you for all the plans, they have been put to good use. Everything you have made can be put to good use
Thank you Jack, I have a very small workshop (10 x 10) with a ton of tools. Everyday is a tetris day in this workshop. Needless to say I have no room for a huge DX system but your idea will solve all my problems. Thank you again and be well.
A great job, Jack. I have often thought of building some kind of bracket or system for using on different machines. You have come up with the right solution to my problems. Thanks for sharing a great idea Jack, - much appreciated. Ed
Jack, Your brilliant.I've only just discovered your site and it is full of interesting and very helpful tips. I will certainly be starting on making my own 'Dust Collector'.Thank you for sharing it.Norman from UK
ANOTHER great jig!!! I love ALL your videos Jack! Thank you so much for what you do! We appreciate your time to make and post all those super inspiring videos! Keep em' coming!
Awesome work, Jack. You are a talent and a real big help. I've been looking for something to solve this problem and your solution is outstanding. Elegant, easy to build, and a fun woodworking project in itself. Much appreciated.
Neat idea Jack! Simple, effective and easy to make...my type of jig! I've been looking for a simple dust collector stand and your rig certainly fits the bill... Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks Jack, finally got around to making one today, it works a treat. The only difference is that I haven't got a rubber washer kit, so bought an tyre inner tube, to make a supply, in the end I didn't need it, the joints hold position fine!
Hi Jack Just what I need for my workshop, couldn't justify a large dust collection system, at present I use a small Hoover, which is moveable for my table saw. With your Idea I will be able to use it for my bandsaw, sanding disc, drill press and many other uses. Thanks Jack keep the ideas coming. Love your videos Peter.
Jack, I like your video. The simple ideas are the best. I have always tried to dust collect on track saw and router but not on the bench drill or belt sander. I will make it and also improve on dust collection. Thanks Jack. Colin Farrier from Northern Ireland.
Great idea!! I am going to build a few of these for my shop. The 1 thing I am going to add is holes for Mag-Switches so I can fasten these stands to steel surfaces without the need for clamps. I may also build a few for to use for extending arm desk lights. Love when I find a good use for the lumber in my off-cuts bins!!!
OK Jack you got me thinking... Thanks for the video... I'm thinking I'll mount it to a heavy base and possibly with a rod coming up from the base to swivel the base so I don't have to clamp it each time I move it.... thanks again
Hi Jack nice videos you have. Very useful and study. You can insert funnel over the vacuum hose to make the suction better as surface area is larger. :)
Excellent work Sir, you are very inspiring person and all your videos motivate me . Truly fantastic , simple ideas you have. Great guide for all youngsters. I will built many of your jigs. Thank you so much for your inspiration, Regards , Peace - from Bangalore , India
Just a tip.. When you make a project, could you put the finished product at the beginning so we can see what you will be making and than show the steps you did to get to the final item. This way I can see what all the parts will be for. Thanks and great videos. Scott
I can dig it, Good idea. But I saw the one you made with the magnets first amd I think for my small shop it will work better 4 me Im thinking I might use this 1 to as someone commented hang from my shops ceiling for overhead work arms ( camera boom or the like ) thanks again for the design.
Jack, great video, thanks, been struggling with the same problem for a while. Do you have a blueprint or drawing to download? Also, I like your table saw sled, any info on that? It looks a lot simpler than many DIY sleds I've seen on YT.
Hi Jack, The dust collector is a GREAT idea, and I'm planning to make one. I've looked around and don't see the dimensions anywhere. Is it possible you could share those with me? Appreciate your videos!
Hi Jack, Another great project... One question, What is the secret to the magic in the opening sequence? Your saw is so close to the wall, I thought, there is no way that he can finish the cut! The, BOOM, it's cut!
Hello Jack This is Jack from Missouri USA, going to build the duct collector for myself, you started with 3 1/2" I would like to know the Dim. of the pieces if possible, thanks for you time I sure enjoy your videos keep up the good work. Jack
