Oliveira pretty much did all the right things as the lesser boxer. Hitting the body with front kicks and knees, grabbing the collar tie when he can and dirty boxing/throwing elbows, threatening the takedown, jabbing with him. All the stuff that gets around or mitigates Poirier's great boxing guard and head movement. He's a well rounded fighter who knows how to mix it all up.

At the end is a fight. They use everything they have to win . That's why Olivera won . Sorry brot , it could be different yes. But the reality is Olivera won . Justin got him and he couldn't finish this dude. So he made him pay.

Oliveira's Muauy Thai is incredible! People don't talk about it but he made a lot of damage in Poirier with that.

Because the narrative going in was that Dustin was much better on the feet. Dustin did catch him with some clean shots and wobbled him. But Charles landed alot of really good body shots that added up and took alot out of Dustin's gas tank. I'm really excited to see how Charles does going forward. I'd love to see him fight Islam.

Agree 💯. Charles looked like the technically better striker, he just got knocked down by a bigger guy. Charles' stand-up drained Dustin's tank and caused him to get 10-8'd in the second and submitted in the third. Brilliant fight.

huge huge huge mistake 3:32 done my poirier.......why ??? just because of oliveira ground game !!! which showed dustin know nothing about ground game which made charles mentality even more stronger in 2nd round and in 3rd round charles submitted dustin. valueable lesson: ACT like you know everything even you never knew it.

All those happened ages ago, since then he is getting dropped by the best strikers in the division and recovering super fast, that is not having a suspect chin at all. Its like saying Glover Texeira's chin is suspect cause he gets dropped, ye he does and then recovers in seconds and wins.

Much better without the sub par commentary on this one. I like Dustin but listening to DC and Joe talk about how hard he hits and how hurt Charles is really does change how you perceive the fight. It's clearer in this footage as to when Charles slips vs gets knocked down. Also shows how fatigued Dustin was getting as the body blows added up. Amazing round.
