MMA math - poirior bullies Holloway at lightweight but get KO’d by Gaethje who gets crushed like cheap can by Holloway? Of course Poirior did TKO Gaethje on their first fight so they’re 1-1 and Holloway was the first to fully expose Gaethje’s lack of speed and agility (probably those legendary dense heavy bones) and I think Gaethje probably went into that fight thinking he’d abuse Holloway based on what I explained above. Anyway, the three of them are probably my 3 favorite fighters and if Porier takes one last fight, maybe it’s worth seeing him fight Holloway again at 155 - he has nothing to gain but if he won’t get another title fight he wants to fight another legendary striker, not a wrestler. And everyone would watch that fight.

Dang Eddie’s corner lost him that fight. When they were on the ground Eddie looked right at his corner and they said “Elbow” and they motioned the 12 to 6 motion and that’s what cost him the dominant position

Fights like this are why McGregor's 205 performance was freaking magical. Nobody does Alvarez as clean as McGregor did, whether they put him away or not. Even a world class boxer like Dustin didn't shut him out that impeccably.
Damn I can't believe I'm so late on this one, Poirier never fails to entertain so I try to catch his fights as soon as I can. This was a good one, I knew the moment Eddie blew his momentum with that elbow that it was over for him, which by the way can I just point out how much of a rookie mistake that was on his part? Especially after costing them both a win in their first fight with that illegal knee, accidental or not he clearly didn't learn his lesson. Hell a veteran of the sport like him should have damn well known better, and once again it cost him his chance for a win, only this time he didn't drag his opponent down with him. It's no secret that Dustin is a dog when he stands and bangs, the power and precision he's displayed on his feet is hard to match, you simply cannot allow him to find his flow if you intend to win otherwise it's only a matter of time before he finds his opening and scores at least a 10× multiplier on your face. 😂 In my opinion, Alvarez was only ever going to win this fight if he was able to keep Dustin under pressure long enough to take him to the ground and keep him there, without a doubt Eddie is a superior grappler, but alas, what's done is done lol.
